Until suitable replacement is found, how about using :2camels: ? They're cool little dudes and nobody ever uses them.

My friend just went to Kuwait and she said they have camel ice cream. Yum.

Though I don't know if it's camel-flavored, or made from camel milk.

It's legal to eat horse in the good old US now. Awesome.

Haggis consists of sheep innards and lots of other fancy stuff, but it actually tastes okay (if you like the taste of black pudding).

There are lots of strange Scottish things that taste surprisingly good, like cod battered in Irn-Bru.

To that end:

A Ukranian national delicacy is called salo, and it is basically salted pork fat. It's pretty good, in small amounts with heavily buttered red potatoes.

...why do I get the faint impression that we're going to end up talking about cannibalism again?

You brought it up just so we would talk about it, so it's really not surprising. If you had kept your little mouth shut...

I for one miss when the Jack in the Box tacos were made with horse meat.

And when I got to look at all my juicy bits in my leg in the hospital, i got to see my muscles and fat deposits and sweet, tender tendons. Aside from the searing pain of having bits of tape being ripped off of my exposed muscles, all I could think was how tasty I'd be if we cooked that meat up.

You would probably taste like a lean pork. Don't ask me how I know what human tastes like.

I remember at least two other meat-related threads eventually turning to cannibalism. Figured it was going to happen again.
