IH-64 Tomahawk

Post by gaunt » Sat Feb 04, 2012 9:49 pm

Hello all,

I've been a building coma for the past day or so, and I whipped this little guy up during that time:

It can fit a fig:

This has yet to be part of a faction, but it soon will be.

Comments/ criticisms are more than welcome.

Thanks eagle! It's not exactly big and menacing, seeing as it started out as a compact fighter design. I guess adorability is a good trick on the battlefield, in some respects.

Yeah ultimately it'd have low health, but that's a great design! I'm suprised anyone fits in there, but man that's cool that they do!

^ Well, it'll look nice as battlefield debris. It was mostly me proving to myself that I could make a small vehicle that wasn't boxy.

And IV it's been a while man, what's good? (I used to be on here occasionally but I left for a while)

Well I broke my legs a while ago, but i'll be walking in about a month.

I'm away from my main collection, but in the meantime I've been brikwarring on my kitchen table with about 12 figs and my roommate.

Ah man, so sorry to hear about that. But glad to hear you're healing up.

Yeah, being away from your main collection is restricting, but sometimes having just a few figs can give you some inspiration, IMO.

This is a neat little chopper, I imagine it's small size and speed would make it very hard to hit, making its low armor less of an issue. Good work fitting a pilot inside!

Well as opposed to having strict factions, i've got a whole game of brikwars to fit in a small plastic bag, using the little bits of crap lying around my apartment as cover. Works great!

Thanks a bunch! I suppose it's pretty fast, and therefore would be a difficult target.

And IV, sometimes childish primitivity is the best.

Nice helicopter! I wasn't expecting it to actually hold a fig. I think the advantage of it being so small is that it's easier to make more of. Imagine a swarm of them attacking something

Yeah, this helicopter is simply beautiful! Well built.

Perhaps there is room to add some rockets or missiles in addition to the guns?

Thanks a lot! As for the missiles, I was toying with some missile rack ideas, but none of them seemed to fit. And I can't imagine such a small vehicle being able to carry a huge loadout, but I'll see if I can modify this little guy.
