True, Ninjago season two actually has a story behind it, unlike the made-for-tv movie that was season one.

These three were my first sets, I got them simultaneously:

Favourite (even though I don't own it, haha)

The final testimony to Castle before it went bad, imo, even though KK I had some of the best figs and Fantasy / Kingdoms were still alright. I'm not even expressing myself about Rainbow Knights.

The Earth Dragon is probably my favourite set (that I own) because it's cool enough so you can use it and don't have to tear it apart.

Oh man, that castle is just GLORIOUS. I love it. I also remember getting the King, I had tons of fun with that too. Brags has some good taste in Castle, but who's to doubt that? :)

Thank you, thank you

I swear, those rainbow knights were my best "lol I troll u" product until the blind-packed minifigures line.

Regardless of how I feel about them, if what you say is true the whole line was worth it just for that  That and some of the more useful pieces.

@ Zahru: I'm thinking about getting some of the sets I always wanted but never got to (when I started collecting Ninja, Fright Knights and Royal Knights were just disappearing from the shelves and I had to settle with KK I while still possessing a lot of booklets that promoted all those cool sets I never got to find, even though I must say Fright Knights used to look cooler in the booklets than they do when I look at them now, lol) over Bricklink, but I'm a bit sceptical about buying (large) sets over BrickLink. Anyone have experience with that?

So apparently this is what I got, just found it. What's with the Hubble Bubble stuff?

I don't see the problem with the kk2 sets. The helmet visors are pretty awesome, and I'd rather have interesting colours than 4 different shades of silver. I thought the giant knight sets were pretty dumb, but once they got minifig-scale, they were pretty good.

Hey dude, say what you will about the giant knights, but their swords were freaking sweet!

(Many of) the KK 2 sets were poorly constructed, that's my main problem with them. I remember they also got some hate because of the colour shift (which I no longer mind so much). Most of the helmets were too big to my taste and I don't think they looked great, the red one fe I think is useless, partially because their colour and size makes them not-so-interchangeable with other stuff. The rest of the minifigs were okay, though some sword colours sucked and I might've liked the shields better if not for the empty dot in the middle of them and the ugly prints on some. The amount of figs was even lower than KK I I believe. Also, the lack of torso prints adds to the whole 'cheap' feel the sets had. There was also only a small variety of weapons. The bad guys were awesome though and I still use a lot of their pieces for my Falx, so I'm not saying it's a completely useless line, but compared to other castle lines, it kinda sucked. Especially the second line. I agree the giants are pretty cool and useful, even though I thought they were useless when I first got them and are difficult to pose.
