Arthel dispatches the zombie assailants who were shambling towards him.
The crossbowmen are finally useful, as they whittle away another HP of the Rot Walker.
Another grave guard is sent back to its eternal slumber.
Undead Spearhead - BrickSyd
The ax-skeletons split and attack the crew of the death machine, while their necrolyte channels dark magiks... sadly the spell, and most of the attacks fumble, but on skeleton manages to hit the ribault operator, to whom this had to be a gut-wrenching experience.
On the far side, the necrolyte uses his magiks to weigh down Gallikronn on the ground.
Gallikronn: 'OI! What foul magic is this?'
Skeletal Champion: 'Haha, I got both of you now! Beware wyrm, as I'm aiming straight between your eyes!'
The champion attempts to use the cannon scraps, with the aid of the zombie crewman, as a hand cannon.
Alas, this feat horrifically fails. The cannon explodes in their faces, killing the necrolyte and the zombie crewman. The Skeletal Champion survives the blast, but in exchange he loses one of his arms. The wizard and the dragon are slightly puzzled after what they have just seen.
The Rot Walker impales the cleric, whose noxious innards spurt out violently. This kills the swordsman next to him.
The GG reassemble, but fail to do harm, while their necrolyte successfully raises the fallen officer. The newly-raised warrior attacks Arthel, and scores a hit! (-1hp)
Ezra - heavyfishcannon
The broken shell of Ezra von Bragstein suddenly twitches... turns out the evil energies of the Heart of Darkness are still working.
Barely alive, EvB starts to crawl towards safety (with 2 inch/turn mov).
The faithful glommox follow and give cover fire to their master, sadly they don't harm anything.
Gallikronn and Majisto - mgb519
Majisto unleashes the elements of fire once again, by heating the horrid body fluids inside the Rot Walker until it erupts like a cancerous geyser of bile. This of course, hurts like hell (RW down to 1 hp).
Gallikronn is still under the effects of the weighing spell, so he moves by foot and squashes a skeleton.
Ferdinand - Silent-sigfig
Ferdinand decides to deploy one of his experimental weapons.
Ferdinand: 'Strong-man Randolph, activate! Oh wait, I've missed a key component.'
Ferdinand: 'There. Now, activate.'
Automaton 'Strong-man Randolph': 'OHHH YEAH!'
Ferdinand: 'Oh dear, it appears it is still buggy, and savage!'
The crazed automaton engages the necrolyte.
Strong-man Randolph: 'SNAP INTO A *kzzt*-'
Strong-man Randolph: '-A *kzzt* SLIM *kzzt*----'
With these last words, Strong-man Randolph smashes the necrolyte's head, and collapses.
Ferdinand: 'It appears some future advancements are required for this model.'
Not pictured: the fruitless assault of the mechasteed against the ax-skeletons.
The crew desperately try to get rid of their attackers, and while the engineer cannot repel the skeletons, the angry dwarf cudgels one down.
