Well, you know, this is a very complicated case, Keldoclock. You know, a lotta ins, lotta outs, lotta what-have-you's. And a lotta strands to keep in my head, man. Lotta strands in old Duder's head. Luckily I'm adhering to a pretty strict, drug regimen to keep my mind limber.

Well then, Newman, now that the winds of fate and fortune and the pocketbooks of the nerdy lego wargaming crowd have fully funded your endeavor for more than 9 thousand dollars with an entire month left to go- what are you planning?

Re: Mobile Frame Zero: Rapid Attack
Well, for one thing, I'm figuring out how to produce kits without making minimum wage. Most of the time, I produce books. I've got a pretty good workflow for that. But, uh, I was kind of going into this project expecting to not move any kits at all. Maybe a couple.
But once that's done? I'm buildin' some robots!

Re: Mobile Frame Zero: Rapid Attack
Heh. Excellent. I'm personally looking forward to the rulebook and the setting contained within- it's on a grand enough scale that we'll be able to play with it to no end, I'm sure, but I've already got ideas running around for campaigns and whatnot...
And for a longshot dream? Walking into a game shop, over to the wargaming table, sweeping aside a length of Warhammer scenery, and saying to the room at large- "Right, who's up for a round of Mobile Frame Zero?"
I get the feeling that I should probably do my research before I start building. I haven't seen any of this genre of anime. Anyone have a recommendation for a good show?

Re: Mobile Frame Zero: Rapid Attack
The biggest influence is VOTOMS. You can get it on DVD for, like, a billion dollars or you can, you know, do that thing. Gundam 00 is an influence, too. Gasaraki is frustrating, cuz it's exactly, totally this and then it goes weirdly off the rails. If you want, I'll even send you my collection. There's no way I'm gonna watch again and I'm moving and trying to get rid of stuff.

Re: Mobile Frame Zero: Rapid Attack
Well, thanks for the offer, but you'd probably be better off sending it to someone who would actually be able to watch the stuff in a manner of time that isn't completely ridiculous. I'll see what I can do, I guess. Even doing that thing that I don't do, I'd probably have the series done at the time the rulebook showed up on my doorstep. Heh.

Re: Mobile Frame Zero: Rapid Attack
Well, I used the backer instructions to make the first Grub...
and yeah, I need to spend a bit of cash on some of the essential pieces that I am apparently either lacking or have in a bag somewhere. I can't even build a Hi-Leg or a Scrambler without figuring out an alternate leg build.
That will probably be the first unit of the FreeKs, a group of salvage hounds under the banner of the Free Colonies.

Re: Mobile Frame Zero: Rapid Attack
I've built some of the frames from MF0, which I hope to post later. Right now, I've got 2x ST-07b Chub suits, Two Commisar/Conscript suits, and one WT-04 Hi-Leg. I've also got a bunch of classic Mechaton frames and some vehicles.

Re: Mobile Frame Zero: Rapid Attack
I've built some Conscripts, Space Marines and Chuckers. Photos from the two games of Mechaton I've had are here, my frames are the blue ones and the red ones. Those photos are over a year old, I've made changes to all of my Frames since then.
