Crimson Crusaders (+ Knights of the Realm, Black Knights)

A Falx Legion. There are no longer as many of them as there were in Freedom's Blood (mostly because I decided there were enough and used parts elsewhere), but they're better equipped now (once I give them back their shields, of course).



You may have seen most of these before so I'm only getting close-ups of the new / changed units, like these shock troops, all armed with firehammers.



Knights, will be mounted once in battle. I changed the helmets because I seem unable to scrape together enough visors.



They took our jobs!

He makes a nice change from the not-so-useful lightly armed red Falx generals.

Um, yeah, careful searching for cheap deals (rather than buying full figs) mostly. I had a big collection to start with though (look at some of my early posts, those were all from before I discovered the magic world of Bricklinck), and also used to trade with friends / other people who had Lego. Nothing shady like a deal with the devil as Zahru once suggested though

I've also put armour on all non-castle torsos I originally had to make good use of those. That helped *a lot* The Eagle Knights and Hitokiri samurai for example are all ex-soccer players, and the Crimson knights a motley assortment of ex-rock raiders, star wars figs and whatnot.

If you look around the net, there's people with minifig collections that are just insane though, I wouldn't even want that many.

Anyways, nice army.  Really big too.  They have a nice flavor to them.

Say hi to the Knights of the Realm, roaming knights who work independently and spread the King's justice, now called upon by the Queen.



These include the final character requests. The others will mostly be NPCs but they might just become characters if too many people show up for the battles.

Finally Lord James has gathered his Black Knights for the campaign. These veteran troops are immune to any unusual skill or morale affecting mods or enemy actions.
