ofcourse, that would be very easy to do, just find the momentumfactor[inches moved in one turn] and then find the dammage [1d6 per 2 inch] and subtract how ever you like.

Area damage, including concussive shockwaves, come in the form of explosions. If it's with the force of an artillery shell, then it's a pretty big explosion.

Again though, I imagine that your dreadnut has a structure level of 3 or 4. Even a 3d10 explosion would only have about a 50/50 shot at dealing any damage at all to your dreadnut, and it sure as shit isn't going to pile on a second level of size damage unless you roll incredibly low on your armor roll. While the game does revolve around houserules pretty heavily, doing damage to yourself is awesome, and this thing's so resistant to damage that adding an extra caveat for it not taking damage would be pretty pointless.

Besides, it's brikwars! all the vehicles are supposed to blow up before the game ends anyways!

Exactly. Also, do you think I'd put something like this on an incredibly tough unit if I was sure it might backfire? I wanna give poor old Redshirt a chance.
Also, I was thinking of treating said foot-jets like a long-range attack, where it spends 1 turn up in the air, giving people a chance to get the hell out of the way.

Update time!

I gave the old dread a nicer-looking chaingun. (Thanks Rev for the inspiration!)

Closeup. I like how it turned out like a 40K assault cannon. (Speaking of that, I need to post pics of my updated guardsmen...)

So, what do you guys think?

Thanks guys! The dreadnut is one of my favorite MOCs so far.
Also, I have a heavy and light variants of the Punisher, so why not a medium one?

Image
Ladies and gents, (and Warhead), I present the medium-armor Punisher! This thing was built to have more armor than the scout, but less than the heavy-armor variant. I gave it a double-barrel lascannon, with the intent of having a fast-moving tank killer.
(more pics later, my camera died.)

So, what do you guys think?

Really? What makes you think I'm into Warhammer? Was is all of my 40K-inspired builds, or the fact that I actually play warhammer?
Anyway, thanks!

Warhammer 40k is one of the only places I've ever seen something called a lasgun that combined the the dreadnaught made me assume.

Nice hardsuit. Very Dark Trooper-ish with the light, medium, and heavy designs.

Now make one without the armor which has a reflective shield and tries to knife you.
