I really should get off my lazy arse more and post my stuff when I've made them, not several months later...
Anyways, this is the Automaton.
No one knows where it came from, or how it became sentient, but they do know that it doesn't like high technology. It will attack most advanced technology on sight, and can actually win in some cases! It has been destroyed many times, but it always reappears again some time later...
Close up of the gear work on the scoop arm. The thing on the golden rails is a piston I guess.
Surprise! The shoulder rotates down to deploy an 8-barrel anti-personnel Gatling gun.
Close up of the gear work on the blade arm and shoulder cannon. The cannon is for things bigger than the average minifig, such as another Automaton or even a tank. Somehow the thing can shoot forever, which might be evidence of primitive Immortal tech?
The engine for the Automaton doesn't let out steam like most steampunk boilers. Instead, it belches coal-black smoke with still burning embers. What the fuel actually is, no one knows, as the engine is far too small to run for any significant amount of time on coal and steam.
The Automaton has a peg leg.
This foot is so much bigger than the other so that it can combat the recoil of the shoulder cannon.
The torso paneling seems to be made out of good mahogany with gilding.
The single eye of the Automaton glows with an infernal light.

Re: Steampunk Automaton
Awesome! Makes me want to make some minifig-scale stuff for my Anti-Traction League micro-army.

Really well done; I like it a lot.

That's amazing! I love the asymetrical design, and great use of Bionicle parts.
