Scottsman and 501stCadians start digging into the hillside, while Keldoclock cuts down some trees. We must work quickly, before -

Everyone is drafted, and the zombie tick men are killed, but we lose our war dogs.



After frantic manouvering and killing of some reraised corpses, everyone gets inside, enclosed safely behind a wooden palisade. We even managed to get some goods inside: one pick, an anvil, some meat and fish, plump helmet spawn, and lots of booze!



I don't think we should go outside anymore.

A new report from Bonedoomed.



Here is the first level of our fort/hole in the dirt, with plump helmet farm, stockpiles, and some quick workshops. A lot of dwarves were unhappy after the zombie attacks, so something needed to be done...



Second level. The tunnel to the north leads to the brook.



Third level, with a meeting hall. The hole in the floor leads to the aquifer. I plan to lead water from the river into it, which should drain into the aquifer, and not flood the fortress.



Scottsman releases the river.



Everyone gathers in the meeting hall to admire the new waterfall/drown horribly.



It works! I'm a bloody genius!

The magic of waterfalls makes everyone ecstatic instantly, and we forget about the horrors beyond our wooden barricade. Indeed, love is in the air in Bonedoomed.
