Scratch's Royal Knights and a bit of backstory

Post by Scratch » Wed Jul 18, 2012 2:29 pm

Good day, I am Scratch and I have a confession and an army, the confession is that I was the one who caused Yoda_dog to join, Sorry for that.

Before the army, I have a bit of backstory on the medieval world, Many eons ago the world was ruled by a race of Shadow Creatures, like minifigs but with black carapaces that covered their entire body. They had complete power and advanced technology, the height of it being gunpowder based pistols. They ruled without dispute, but then the Dragon God came, he raised an army of the squishy yellow minifigs to fight for him, giving them gifts and power to fight the Shadows. The greatest of these gifts was a powerful weapon that was a gun made for the minifigs, a minigun so to speak. Lead by the Prime Knight and empowered by the dragon god they fought and nearly completely destroyed the shadowmen. The prime knight then founded the First Kingdom. But the dragon god gave the minifigs a curse as well, he gave some the hollow mark which caused them to, upon death, reanimate as half decomposed, but still in their right mind, Hollows. The hollowing happened after a few days of decomposition causing the skin of the fig to turn a ghastly shade of pink and slowly, over several months or years, go insane.

But that is all in the past, I am here to show you the second kingdom.

The second kingdom, known to some as the crown kings, have ruled for hundreds of years. The current king, King John of the Sickle is known as the silver king for his wealth and cloak.

Here he is with Crown Prince Danial and Princess Joann

A closer look on the cape, I am so proud of it.

The army is mostly supplemented by mercenaries, (due to me somehow losing half of the infantry  ) More on them in another thread.
And is led by 3 generals:

General Santon Leader of the cavalry

The cavalry

Image
Due to the shields being on other units they have swords for cc combat.

Image
General Havel, leader of the infantry, some are camera shy and hid behind him. (again lost 5 of my 10 of these somehow)

Image
General Crawland, Commander of the navy and archers of the mercenary companies.

Image
The shadow ship vengence and the Ironically named Leader-ship

And that is the second kingdom army, they are again mostly supplemented by three mercenary factions I will show In another thread, as well as the antagonists of the world.

Not related to the medieval stuff, but a teaser for my modern and space armies,

The second was just to prove he is using the lego headpiece. Iron man really did need more dakka

No, but I do have a dog who takes lego as her preferred meal, I have yet to find their remains so it looks hopeful.

I can't tell you how classy it is that your Cav leader is on a Tauntaun! Especially since that gives you the leeway to put a sovereign sword point-downward in the saddle (which is impossible on a horse).

Thanks! the sword strains the saddle a bit due to the tauntaun's leg being in the way, but it works for the most part.

Unless mo ate 40 or so rubber aliens 4 years ago then my dog has the record to be a suspect, we should have a lineup, dog and mo then some of the old 'good cop, bad dog' routine.

My name is a reference to the venerable doctor, and the shadow men are in fact dersites, but the rest of that was completely unintentional.
Also, what better way to enter the forum than with a personal Homestuck greeting from the overlord.

I have always, always wanted to see a Prospit/Derse BrikWar, since I very first found out about them.

Due to my large amounts of pure black heads and skelly heads, not to mention my Slick fig, I may be able to make that happen.

Thanks! I just put that as a confession mostly to piss him off, he is a cool guy, we call him the guy with the ridiculous collection of knives. I will be posting the Mercenaries armies tomorrow.

Nice medieval army. Now show us the Dersite army!

(And how did you ever make a Spades Slick fig? The inner Homestuck in me is dying to find out!)

The dersites are mostly extinct due to the dragon god and his minifig army, but several of them are commanders of my other armies.

As to the Spades Slick fig, I made a cruddy decal using his actual face in the comics and printed it out, it looks pixalated but so does he in the comic.

for the other stuff I used a black fedora (his hat is the most like one) and the normal suit, I may brasso off the tie so it is more accurate but that is it.
