You don't even have to get complicated. Consider a 2H weapon, 2d6 damage. Or charge with a spear, 2d6+2. Or why not do both and charge with a 2H weapon, 3d6 damage.

This. When I was doing a quick test battle to get used to the rules, it all came down to just picking up the two-handed weapons from the dead guys.

Also, isn't it impossible to charge with a two-handed weapon (unless on a horse)?

You can do it on foot but you need both hands. The horse lets you use it one handed, and pair it with a shield.

Or can you charge using regular movement if your target is close enough?

Since a regular minifig can't get more than one MOM die, there's no extra benefit for it in charging more than 2". Except, of course, getting to the target from further away.

Oh, okay. I misread it as "a charge can only be made by being combined with a sprint." My bad.

The new armored rule is nice. It really adds the "juggernaut" feel to, for an example, mounted knights. They were the tanks of the middle-age, yes? Now they really seem like them. I also like the thing that now you don't kill a armored guy by striking harder, but by striking to the right spot.

Additionally, a -1 to skill could be added to armored troops, especially in cc. (but not when mounted) It could represent the clumsiness brought by the armor.

Overall, armored troops are not invincible. You just have to hit the right spot

Take em at a 6:1 ratio and you're almost guaranteed to do damage at least once.

I will digress even further from this statement that no matter your stance on armor, please please PLEASE don't make the newbies use the fire rules. Machineguns and turning radii are fine and dandy, but for a first time player to keep track of burning rolls is probably waaaay too far over their heads.

I would love to go to backpacking around the mountains in Sweden. There is such a deep respect for the (incredibly beautiful) land there, it brings manly tears to my eyes.

Damage reduction is one die per weapon, not one die per combined damage. Sorry.
