First off, I'd like to say that it's not about making me happy, it's about giving your characters some extra... well, character. If your character design is poor, the gameplay will have to be incredible in order for it to stand out as a good game. I'm not saying I doubt your ability to make a good game, just that characters are vital to keeping someone immersed in the game. Just remember that it's your decision in the end, I'm just making suggestions.
That being said, the armour looks better with the logo. I won't suggest changing the mask, because I understand the look you're going for. However, if you end up making one of those guys an important character in some way, give him some design on the mask (white and red/orange seems like a good choice to me).
A couple more suggestions:
1) I can't decide if giving him groin armour will look better or not, but I think you should try it out to see.
2) Change the design of the shoulder armour so that it covers more of the upper arm. It's far more likely to be hit in the front/back/side of the shoulder than the top.
3) I think the template is a little weird. Try shortening the neck a bit and making the arms extend to mid-thigh.
