Not sure if there is already a topic for this, but I was having a brikwar today and thought, "What if some characters could have a weapon proficiency or specialization ability that lowered the UR of their selected weapon"? I thought that marksmanship and shock troop were similiar, but this idea would allow a minifig to gain this bonus with only one specific weapon. For Example:
Battleaxe Proficiency (+2 CP)
When using a battleaxe, this unit subtracts the UR by 1.
Alternative versions could increase damage or range, etc.
What do you guys think?

Re: Weapon Proficiencies
My supplement has something like this: +1 skill for the weapon of choice, but -2 for everything else. I say it's a free upgrade.

Re: Weapon Proficiencies
Why +2? shouldn't +1 for everything else be enough?

I don't mind threads eventually derailing or going off topic; but at least make an effort initially.Cytheran wrote:Lol censorship
And Ben, I'm probably in line with VI here. To have a skill bonus on just one weapon could be cheaper in CP cost. Unless the proficiency increases damage output, too...which isn't a bad idea.
