Shatterpoint Turn 1
First of all, FOURTEEN players. Damn, that's a lot of orders to manage. Actually, was there a larger forumfight before? I'm guessing Assault on Goatse Bunker had more players, but idunno actual numbers...
Moving on:
Apollyon
The cavalry moves to the right, preparing to take action later.
Majisto and Gallikronn (mgb519)
Gallikronn swoops to battle, but he's out of firing range. Meanwhile, Majisto cast a shockwave in the middle of the undead infantry, to 'clear some path'.
Ezra von Bragstein (Rev.Sylvanus)
The abominations charge into action! Gallikronn fires on Rot Walker, but the damage is insufficient. While none of the rotting hulks reach into melee range, RW manage to fire a bolt of posion that hits a runeknight (-1 hp). They're backed by corruptors who are just barely out of reach.
Ezra joins the fight after fumbling his heroic feat, and fires his poison scepter (ur: 3, 2d6 damage, useable in cc/6inch range) at a knight, sadly the damage is soaked up by the timely reaction of Apollyon, who casts a barrier spell.
The Necrotitan ominously begins to walk towards the fray.
And here comes a fuckup from my part. Rev, the Doom Wailer was MIA this round because it had no crew/units assigned to it tow it closer to the fight. To compensate this, I'm giving you an almighty benny, which you may spend of summoning crewmen if you wish to do so. Sorry, my bad.
Arthel Wolfsbane (heavyfishcannon)
Arthel engages Rot Walker, no damage is dealt. The Corruptors fire a hail of toxins at the soldiers, killing two, and losing on CC during the process because it critfails on the skillcheck and it explodes in its face.
The crossbowmen back the infantry up and break off 1 hp from the RW.
The Storm Titan follows the crossbowmen. 'Xalen, take my Löwenguard, they're yours to command!' says Arthel, donating some troops to the lone knight.
Xalen (Bragallot)
Xalen advances forward (the Löwenguard following in tandem), and begins to cast some sort of spell...
Suddenly, the trolley cart pusher starts to act on its own...
... and rams the deadly device into the dreadknights!
3 out of 5 are obliterated after the bizarre action. 'wot happand?' the puzzled troll wonders.
Xalen revels in the havoc he had caused, and in a way that channels Deadlock he builds up some surplus energies from the destruction.
'Beaky' (Robot Monkey)
Beaky calls forth a fireblast!
A pillar of fire emerges beneath the runeknights, killing the on that got poisoned, and wounding Apollyon (-1 hp).
Liana (Scratch)
Liana gives some archery training to the crossbowmen, giving them +4inches of range, which means... sniping time!
Rot Walker takes a ridiculous amount of damage (28 points), which is more than enough to overkill it, and we know what's going to happen...
Whilst Arthel, CG and Ezra survive the explosion, RW still takes 3 corruptors and 1 swordsman with it to the afterlife.
After that Liana's troops advance.
Valeera Silverdream
The elves pause and wait for a better time to strike, all but Valeera, who calls forth the powers of nature to fight against evil.
Her summons are successful, causing a line of thorny foliage to sprout in front of the Dark Horde, which doubles as living barbed wire (1d6 damage to any unit crossing it).
Drakhirri Cytheran
The lord and his longblades move to combat, preparing for counterattacks/feats.
Gragh the Bone Behemoth Predator
Gragh orders his troops to march forward, giving them +2 inches of movement, then the large horde of undead begin to relentlessly push forward.
Grok Steelhide Zupponn
The trolley cart tries to make-up for his mind controlled shenanigans...
... by getting rid of the greenery, doubling the cart as a makeshift lawnmower, with surprising success! Grok gives further movement to the operator via feat.
Then, led by the cart, the orks start to move towards the siege line.
The other trolls move out as well.
Ferdinand von Bragstein Silent-sigfig
Ferdinand and the engineer combine their engineering prowess and create...
The second death machine or the first armored car on Medivo? You decide.
It demonstrates its use by blasting apart the front of the trolley cart.
Which is then completely destroyed by cannonfire.
Blaze Ironbreaker - lawmaster
Blaze lends the warmachine to von B, then moves with all of his troops forward. Miners burrow and tunnel underground.
Black Centurion - Pwnerade
The forces advance into the fray!
Meanwhile, the Amplifier in the Hold is starting to power up...
Overwatch and kills:
Apollyon
mgb519
Rev. Sylvanus - 7
heavyfishcannon
Bragallot - 3
Robot Monkey - 1
Scratch - 1
Silverdream
Cytheran
Predator
Zupponn
Silent-sigfig
lawmaster
Pwnerade
Send orders for turn 2!

Re: Shatterpoint Turn 1 -unfinished, hold your horses-
It was something like forty, if I remember right, with new people joining all the way up to the very end. You can see most of them here: http://www.brikwars.com/forums/images/b ... nker98.jpgZahru II wrote:First of all, FOURTEEN players. Damn, that's a lot of orders to manage. ZZD also had an unusually large number of players over the course of its run.

Terrible terrible damage in the first round already, I love it
Re: Shatterpoint Turn 1
I'm still sad that the shockwave didn't knock people down like it was supposed to. Did he fail the roll?
