After a prolonged exposure to all sorts of moody, whiny, and angsty people, I've come to the point that I'm fucking of sick of them. Granted, people have their ups and downs, and we all have shit periods in our lives, but I simply hate those who fail to do nothing against their own misfortunes (except for moaning constantly about how bad their life is) and are unable to look at the bright side of things. Especially those who regard their friends as some sort of an 'emotional dumpster', to whom they can lament endlessly about their petty problems.
But apart of my possibly ignorant rant, what do you guys think of this? Am I the only one who hates angst?

I'm an optimist, but I'm also a tremendously friendly and helpful guy, so I have no opinion on this either way.

I sense a great deal of irony in this thread...
No one likes people who complain. It's better to complain than to keep everything inside and then after 10 years pick up a gun and shoot a boatload of people, but yeah, you need to reach the point where you can just throw something out and realize it's not so bad and just go on with whatever you're doing. I got a little worked up today because my pictures had all gone to hell right on the day when I couldn't use such distractions because I had to be working on a paper instead, but I shrugged it off and finished the paper anyway. Letting your head hang low just makes everything worse. I get a lot of inspiration for coping mechanisms from music. I live by the lyrics of thesnuggly?'s 'Enjoy the Struggle' as well as bits and pieces from other stuff and media which I can relate to thanks to personal experience. One of my favourite lines to remember to push on no matter what is 'If you don't help yourself no one else will ever do'

Cynicism is a psychological crutch used by those of us who are too weak to handle actually admitting we have things that we care about. Maybe they think it'll make them vulnerable?

I'm extremely cynical which I'm okay with. I do care that I live in a capitalist country. Which only intends to fuck you if you don't live your life doing as they say. I do care that the general population in America are complete morons incapable of individual though. I do care about watching a whole generation of kids wasting their lives in front of TV playing Xbox. Breeding a new generation of fucktards that'll buy whatever products the TV says and feed on cancerous products. Putting themselves in the hospital which only continues the cycle by then needing to purchase overpriced pharmaceuticals. pl

I have a few friends in that "shit" period of their lives, I just tell them to see the bright side (they're teenagers, living at home, without any bills or a job) or stuff it.

Depression is a real thing that leads to the suicides of cowards and pansies.

Ironically, my behaviour and speech are more age appropriate than yours. In fact, I would say your random and quirky behaviour resembles that of a 12 or 13 year old boy trying to be funny and original.
Your son: Does he have Ass Burgers? I'm just asking because I could have passed it on through procreation with your wife.
