holy poo-poo you're confused.

specialties for characters? i'm not sure what you mean here. some stat cards have specialties on them, so i'd go with that i guess.

as for stat cards, that depends entirely on what you plan to do. if you're drawing then scanning art, you can use any cheapy image editor that isn't MSpaint. if you're just doing coloring and text, go ahead with paint. doing it on the computer start to finish? may god have mercy on your soul.

A lot of people seem to think that the 2005 rules discourage the use of elements from the 2001 rules simply because they are not included. This is not the case. 2005 are just a less scary, more balanced, yet slightly more watered down version of the same exact game. In conclusion: Use whatever you want from the 2001 set, make up your own rules, and ignore any rule you don't like.

If you need ideas for special units or are curious about ones that already exist, search the forums. If what you're looking for isn't here, start your own thread and a legion of nerds will instantly spring up to help you.

although we HAVE been working on 2005 versions of the medik and the mechanik, along with the sniper, the gunner, and a few others.

Another Question:

When making up a Ability do u go by your own judgement for how many cp or is there a guide line?

Here's what I does:

slightly above average(1d8 skill, etc) is 2cp

good(1d10 skill with certain weapons, auto kill when attack hits with melee) 3-4cp

ossum(3 heroic feats/turn)5-7cp

anything more 10+cp

i don't even use CP, and i know that that is incredibly underpriced.

honestly, just do what seems fair. if everyone agrees to the rule, it's fine.

CP are cool, but since you're new, just try a few hilarious games with an imaginative friend, just until you get desensitized to all the brikshed. Goof off, make stuff up in the middle of the game, and just try to make it as funny as possible. Best game I ever played I just made up everything as I went along. It wasn't as fun when it was all pre planned. If you want to be competitive, then put in more rules. If hilarity is what you aim for, screw everything up.

FUDGE!!!! FUDGE FOR EVERYONE!!!!!

Just don't forget the ol' "whatever I say goes rule".
