OTC, Beam Saber and Nova Sword Stats
What are the stats for them?

OTC: UR:4 DMG: 3D6
Beamsaber UR:3 DMG: 1D6+3
Beamsaber UR:3 DMG: 1D6+3
Re: OTC, Beam Saber and Nova Sword Stats
Thanks. I guess I'm going to have to dig through ZZD to see if Nova Swords are mentioned there.

Nova swords can block ranged attacks.

Re: OTC, Beam Saber and Nova Sword Stats
For OTCs I use
UR: 4
Range: CC
Damage: 2d6
If the attack hits, the wielder can make an additional attack at +1 UR. Any individual target can only be attacked as many times as its Size. OTCs ignore Armor unless the Armor is also made of OT.
Beamsabers I'd count as heavy weapons with the ability to parry and reflect ranged attacks. Also you'd be able to throw them and have them come back to your hand afterwards.

From the old wiki:
Nova Sword: Range: 1" Use: 3, #Shots: 1 + defence, Damage: 3D6, Special: May absorb any and all ranged or melee attack made against this mini-fig on a 4+

Re: OTC, Beam Saber and Nova Sword Stats
Those are the stats I always used. Works well enough; especially seeing as how a Nova Sword is the only non-OT weapon that can block an OTC, if I remember right...Apollyon wrote:From the old wiki:

PeeSabers and PooSabers have the same stats as BeamSabers except that they also do splash damage.
Forcing the victim and anyone else nearby to loose an action wiping pee or poo off of themselves.

Re: OTC, Beam Saber and Nova Sword Stats
I use:
OTC UR: 5 Da: 3d6 Can't be parried
Nova Sword UR: 5 Da: 3d6 May parry everything (on successful parry)
I like to keep them powerful (as you can see) but bad in the hands of normal mini's, and try to take them into account when balancing forces. Most of my figs (those with helmets and printed armour) have 5 armour so very occasionally mini's would actually survive a strike. Also the high UR sometimes causes them to fail.
Beamsabre UR: 4 Da: 1d6+3 May parry energy rounds, reflects damage on 4+ parry roll
OTC UR: 5 Da: 3d6 Can't be parried

Re: OTC, Beam Saber and Nova Sword Stats
Does parry mean that it parries everything or just 1d6 dmg?

Re: OTC, Beam Saber and Nova Sword Stats
My own idea for the OTC rules:
ORANGE TRANSPARENT CHAINSAW
Heavy CC weapon
Ur 4
Dmg special
ORANGE TRANSPARENT is so powerful that, when forged into a chainsaw, it can cut through the fourth wall itself. On a successful hit, an OTC does not inflict damage; instead, the wielder may detach up to 1D6 bricks or construction elements provided that the OTC is physically able to reach them. This includes minifig body parts, and decapitating a minifig counts as an instant kill. OTCs can be parried, but if the attacker's skill roll succeeds he can simply cleave right through the parrying weapon/shield/random object, or cut off the hand holding it.
As for Nova Swords... I just make them really high-damage, high-UR swords that can parry everything.

Re: OTC, Beam Saber and Nova Sword Stats
It means it can parry OTC's and unlikely sorts of damage like falling damage, explosions... for 3d6. Which is incredibly powerful of course, but look at what happened to Prince Vinambre or any of the other Beamsabre / Claymore - wielding heroes in Killing Time... shit rolls can still ruin your day and you still have to make the skill roll.Falk wrote:Does parry mean that it parries everything or just 1d6 dmg?
