I see the logic and being BRIKWARS it makes sense. But why link them then? Its just shooting two guns at that point. Linking them actually would be worse in that case because you only get one target.IVhorseman wrote:But then either both guns hit, or neither do. I like the variability and excitement of not knowing if you'll get hit by the second one just because you dodged the first shot.

Re: Twin-linked weapons
It all depends on how it's built, I guess. If you build a tank with two guns on one turret, then they'll be twin-linked. If they're on two separate turrets/sponsons, they'll fire individually.Cytheran wrote:I see the logic and being BRIKWARS it makes sense. But why link them then? Re: Twin-linked weapons
Without even reading this thread, which has become too long on such a "simple subject",
Rule of fudge.
I let my officers dual-wield pistols by rolling once for both of her pistol's skill and then once again for both of their damage rolls (i.e the damage roll is applied twice), with the cp cost of two pistols. Additionally both must be aimed at the same target. If I was statting larger twin-linked weapons it would work about the same way, but the only benefit I see from it is cutting down on the dice rolls. Otherwise, it's a rather useless addition, and one shouldn't go through the bother of declaring certain weapons to be twin-linked unless absolutely necessary.

Re: Twin-linked weapons
Why would a pistol in each hand be twin-linked? Each hand aims and fires individually. That's like saying that your gunner can fire a machine gun and a cannon for one skill roll if they're pointing at the same target.Colette wrote:Without even reading this thread, which has become too long on such a "simple subject",
