I'm going medieval
I have the story planned out, but I'd like you guys to post some characters, faction designs, houses, and the like.
There is a royal family(coat of arms: crown)
Great houses(each control one major region):
House black of the hinterlands(CoA: crusaders lion)
House Tillet of the gold coast(CoA: black knights dragon)
House Bowen of the forest lands(CoA: bull knights bull)
House Kerreck of the Fang(CoA: snake)
House house telmond of the south(CoA: undetermined
unnamed house of the mountains(CoA: falcon knights falcon)
So design knights, under houses, and army designs.

Do you want us to just go all out and anything goes regards race or do you want to keep it strictly yellow Mini-Fig (human only) style Medi-Evuul?

Only Humans(yellow), with the exception of pale(peach) men in the north, which are Viking raiders and small kingdoms and the like, and men from the far south(brown), but they won't be a major faction.
Some alchemists and shadowbindars an the like may have strange skin tones, but no powerful magic. Mostly charlatans

I made a few dudes that could be applied to this,
A concept for a bull footsoldier.
Some Falcon knight type guy.
And then Duke Crystoph, Lord of the port, a fairly minor lord with control over some of the better ports, with two of his bodygaurds. I think he would serve House Tillet, due to them being on the coolest sounding coast.

The only unflawed system is Lego System.

Do you have something else out of the ordinary planned? Because there are already a good few fantasy storylines around here. By what you posted, this one seems a bit Song of Ice and Fire-inspired, no?

I don't have that bull torso, although I really should. I like the falcon knight but I have none if the new wave castle sets, so ill probably snag the chess one. Lord Rystifar Brant is Lord Tillet's principal bannerman, and Lord of Swanpool.
The story is about a power void and people trying to fill it. So very civil warsy.
Powerful magic has never really existed, and the major religions are all anti-magic, although a few charlatans are commonly accepted. The most "powerful" magicians are very skilled ith smoke and mirrors.BFenix wrote:Do you have something else out of the ordinary planned? Re: I'm going medieval
I would like to be House USA please.
Our leader is Lord and Commander-in-Chief Nobama II, pictured below showcasing his awesome muscles and badass powers while defending a coastal area:
Pictured below are average USA troopers, armed with polearms and smoke-sticks (they obscure a battlefield and can release poisonous gases) charging into battle.
Finally, we have our elite shock troopers the Navy WALRUS's. They are specially trained to fight in watery environments and can easily overpower any normal grunt.
(Pretend he's standing on a surfboard)

Re: I'm going medieval
Canada wore pith helmets before you pitiful Americans stepped foot in France.
That being said, if you're going to rip off George R.R. Martin, you better have some originality.
So instead of having House Telmond be a ripoff of Dorne, why not have a bit have muslim flavour(you can say they were conquered a few hundred years ago and the culture was affected.
The guys in headwraps would work if you switch out their heads and hands. I'm thinking they have a large army wearing mostly cloth and leather, with light Cavalry to accompany them. They may also have foreign siege weapons(Dragon rockets, 12 pound cannons etc.)

I don't have any dornish rip offs, house telmond is more of a religious fanatic house.Silverdream wrote:Canada wore pith helmets before you pitiful Americans stepped foot in France.

Those soldiers sort of work for the asadi empire across the sunrise straits, which once conquered part of the kingdoms 700 years ago

I was going to try to base my Medieval dudes off blah blah fire and ice, but then I realized I had too many orks, so it would be just LotR with no magic and a bunch of short dudes whining . Close enough
Also, the helmet and mace are customs from Brickforge, the only things that are from any recent set is the waist band from the Galaxy Patrol dude and the cape from the Ring Wraith.

How about Viking mercenaries who are used as raiders and/or berserkers?
