Physical Opposition

I'm having trouble figuring out how your enemies get physical opposition.

Could you be more specific? Which part are you reading that doesn't make sense?

in all honesty, the whole goddamn thing. MoM and PoP are super confusing and hard to understand, but once you get how it's supposed to work it actually makes a lot of sense and is super easy.

I'm guessing you're asking how to calculate PoP, which is just size.

It was mainly bracing and not bracing.

And how it affects physical opposition.

oh, that's easy. they're able to brace themselves if... they'd be able to brace themselves. a minifig standing ground in a single spot can. a minifig flying through the air or loosely holding onto a ladder cannot.

If a dude is bracing, he gets his full POP. But if he's not bracing, he only gets half.
Often, literally, a pillow fight but may include similar situations like volleyball, particularly when wardrobe is skimpy and the action is bouncy.

Yeech. I don't like the knockback rules in Brikwars... I find it rather redundant constantly figuring out MoM and PoP for everything. I just ignore knockback in general and fudge it in when appropriate or needed. If the defendant's defense score was 1 point greater than what he needed to survive, or exactly enough, then he gets floored (and drops his gear). Otherwise he staggers but bounces back, good as new. Simple, effective, entertaining.
Were it that simple...

I wonder if I should cut bracing out of the PoP calculation entirely and simplify the whole thing, it seems to be more trouble than it's worth.

I'd leave a version in as a special Action for holding spears against a charge, but otherwise it could probably be safely excised.

I fudge it because i don't understand a lot of it.
