Shatterpoint Turn 6

Majisto and Gallikronn - mgb519

Gallikronn swoops towards the hold, and burninates the last orkboys mid-flight.

Majisto uses heats up the troll armor to horrific degrees, burning the juggernaut, who loses 1 hp.

Xalen - Bragallot

Both the löwengard and the cleric fail spectacularly as neither of them are able to perform their feats as planned.

Xalen hops on the crumbling foundations with the aid of his mount.

He then goes full demon and assaults the warlock.

A devious blow incapacitates the entranced spellcaster, who gets tossed aside.

After that, Xalen props the vile artefact on his weapon and shoves it into the amplifier, which begins to crack on impact, necrotic energies seeping from the wound.

Liana Crowclaw - Scratch

The crossbowmen kill the last ghosts.

After that, Liana, the swordsmen and the battle cleric all mount up.

Alongside the storm titan they advance towards the hold.

Troll Juggernaut - Zupponn

The Juggernaut, in a fit of rage, completely obliterates the proto armored car, once again halting technical progress on Medivo.

Blaze Ironbreaker and Dwarves - lawmaster

Blaze prepares for a titanic strike...

Which succeeds, pierces armor and disarms the troll.

Of course he dies due to the boneriffic amount of damage.

Zupponn: ELIMINATED

Miners scale on the wall and kill an npc crossbow ork.

The rest of the dwarves gang on the Black Centurion.

They drag the ork off its mount and... well... yeah.

Apollyon

Image

Apollyons' horse rolls an incredible amount of sprint, with which the runeknight can zigzag across the battlefield.

As his original target was lynched by dwarves, Apollyon decides a skeleton is fine too, and shatters the skull of Gragh.

The Infernus - Pwnerade

The infernus burns the storm titan to death.

Arthel Wolfsbane - heavyfishcannon

The crossbowmen and Arthel beat down the bonebeast to 1 hp.

The Bone Beast - Predator

Angered, the BB delivers the killing blow to Arthel. I guess one can only cheat death that many times...

Ezra von Bragstein - Rev. Sylvanus

The necrotitan puts his master on the wall.

It then hacks away the gate.

'Mastah Ezra, wots happening?'

'Release from this misery' EvB replies and releases toxins which instantly kill the ork.

Ezra tries to zap the Warlock but misses.

Silver spears destroy the bone beast.

Longbowmen snipe the infernus.

Pwnerade: ELIMINATED

At this point, I'd love to process the rest of the orders, but as a matter of fact, all bad guys are dead.

Warlock: 'Hahah, indulge yourself in the false belief of heroism... that amplifier, although not fully charged, is still basking with necrotic energy thousandfold of one spellcaster can master. If it gets unleashed from the amplifier without control, this whole battlefield will be dead in an instant! Even you and I. There would be nothing left but death. HAHAHA!'

Xalen: 'If that's the case, I cannot let this happen.'
Warlock: 'And what will you do about it?'
Xalen: 'I will sustain it.'
Warlock: 'WHAT?'

Xalen wrestles with warping the very reality itself, to dampen the inevitable explosion of the amplifier...

And then, in a flash of sickly green light, it is gone. The amplifier. Xalen. The warlock. All that remains is a massive shockwave that ripple through the walls of Ursa Hold.

It utterly annihilates the desecrated fortress.

Imperial Forces had made an outstanding victory, vanquishing the majority of evil, leaving them leaderless and in disarray. Although many good men gave their lives to achieve this victory, including veteran hero Arthel Wolfsbane, the impossible was done: Warhead's crusade that nearly broke the Empire had ended. Now is the time to rejoice and recuperate for a little while.

Ezra was found underneath the wreckage of the hold. Unstable and barely living, Ferdinand put him out of his misery for good this time.

No trace was found of Xalen or the Warlock. However, the Staff of the Underworld, which was knocked out of the Warlocks hands had been retrieved by Majisto. He will make sure it would never fall again into evil hands.

So with that ends Shatterpoint, and the whole Shattered Empire storyarc. Once again, huge thanks for everyone who joined in, played in the battles, or had fun watching them!

That was awesome! Great work team and Good Game everybody!
My question is what happened to the Battle Cleric, did he get a name? Did he start an order of/fashion trend based off of Badass headgear for all the Clerics?

^ Just a guess, I think the Medivo war council will probably decide the battle cleric's idea for headgear exceeds the Imperial budget ;)

This fight was beyond words, it really had me on the edge of my seat!

Do you have any idea how valuable the RuneKnights are? :o Given, they used to be better than they were in the last campaigns but... read some of the early battle reports, especially the fight against Malekim, you'll see.

Ouch. Straight through the heart. My remaining men should all be executed for failing so badly in stopping that monster. Why he still engaged the Bone Beast when the battle was already won is also beyond me. Arthel, we salute you!

It's also a relief that abomination has finally been put down... I do have an eerie feeling we haven't seen the last of the Warlock yet.

Although I took heavy losses, I inflicted massive damage on the enemy forces. All in all, I'd consider that decent success. :twisted:

Eh, I figure it's just a plot hook for when he fights his way through hell. Assuming he even died then and wasn't just pretending. :boss:
