Dreadnought I made

Post by Strider » Mon Oct 15, 2012 3:20 pm

Seeing as that I recently rediscovered the joy that is brikwars, I decided I would try my luck at making a dreadnought. I thought it turned out pretty good, will probably go into a faction that I am making that is yet to be named.

Let me know how you like it.

I like the face (or whatever it should be called). Impressive that you managed to fit a minifig inside. The legs look pretty plain though, maybe you should spice them up?

Put some spikes or a flag on it. Or both. Pretty cool though; it looks like the dred was built to be taller rather than wider, which gives it a unique look.

Yeah, it was the only minifig that I had upstairs with me. My actual army is all yellows, no worries.

@arkbrik, yeah the legs really do need work. I spent most of the time making the body, and i suck at making legs. I have some ideas for better ones, just need to order some parts off bricklink

You should have a battle where the Peach hijacked this weapon to kill Yellows to see what it can do.

I would be afraid that the peaches would win, especially with the firepower this thing has compared to what my army currently has lol

I really like the look of it, but maybe the legs could be beefed up a little?

Those legs ruin it for me. I can see them getting blown off first round. It looks like you have a peghole to utilize already so it shouldn't be too hard to make them less small. I would also love to see the gun arm thing turn into a huge multi barrel auto cannon.

Front armor plating is nice, but it could use a little more plating on the side to cover up the joint.

Don't listen to them, bigger = better. I'd even go on to make longer legs, possibly ones with threads on them.

You can use one of those 1x2 pieces with 1 stud on them to make the side of the legs more armoured.

Yeah, i'm waiting for my bricklink order to come, I came up with a completely different leg design that will hopefully look nicer and be better armored.
