The Five: Act One, Of Motley and Murder: Sign Up Send orders
House Lowtower, the well-known lords of the Great Swamp, may have been on the slightly poorer side for rulderdom. That never did anything to quash their massive Brikwarsian egos, however, and least of all during their trade season. The Trade Fair, put on by their lowly subjects, was their masterpiece.
People from miles and miles around came together at this outpost (the last truly safe point before the Great Swamp's deadly marshes began) to barter.
Since coinage and paper money had yet to be popularized among the peasantry, they made do with whatever they had to buy goods. This year, it was rabbits.
The heir to the Lowtower, Peter, presides over the proceedings, his family shield leaning against the wall.
This small keep contains this years tribute to the crown, mainly supplies from the Marsh Mines, guarded by a ranger of Thorolund and a couple soldiers of the Dragon.
The Butcher prepares the goods for an eager customer, while a poor boy is forced to hold the day's exchange rate for hours on end.
Some lounge with a tree, one hiding a carrot for some reason.
All seems to be going well...
until a party of Moor'ed orks decided to show up and ruin the fun. The orks have long neighbored and long clashed with House Lowtower. After finding out that House Lowtower's stock of fighters had suddenly been decreased by the Great Marshaling, they decided that this was their year to really mess with the poor denizens of the fair.
And because it's Brikwars, a rogue war party of Battle Jesters, Subjuggulators, Bloody Mummers, and all around wild cards, chose to raid House Lowtower's outpost for this year’s tribute the same day, totally oblivious of anything else mentioned in this post.
The shit* is mere millimeters from the fan.

Don't worry too much, when the story act is called, "The Five", it shouldn't be hard to tell how many battles are going to be in this series.
