Of Magix and Mechanix - Forum Game

Hi all, I was bored the other day and decided to try create a forum game. Unfortunately, I don't have near enough bricks to ever do anything like that. However, inspired by Semaj Nagirrac's "Sky Ruler" and "Another Game?", I present to you:

Of Magix and Mechanix:
A LDD Forum Game

Story:

Once upon a time, in a galaxy far away, there was a planet, plunged into war, divided in half

One half was controlled by the Mechanix, master engineers who create robotic creations to do menial or dangerous tasks.

Image

The other half was controlled by the Magix, mages and wizards who summon hellish abominations who obey their creators every command.

The war grew to such a scale that it tore the planet in half.

Image

The last thing the Mechanix and the Magix ever worked together on was the giant chain that hooked the two halves together, making sure that the two halves didn't drift apart to their doom.

Now, war continues, perhaps forever. Only time will tell who will be the victor...

TLDR: Big planet, one half controlled by engineers called Mechanix, other half controlled by wizards called Magix. Big war occurs, planet splits in half, and both halves are connected by big chain. War continues, the end.
How it works:

Each player when signing up will choose a side, either Magix (focus on red/brown colour schemes) or Mechanix (focus on blue/grey colour schemes). If the teams are unbalanced, I may have to move members of one team to the other, but only as a last resort.
NOTE: The custom Squad rules have been abolished, there will soon be a replacement!

So it'd be 8 guys total or 8 squads of 5 total? I'm interested but unsure of what I need to do.

No, you create 8 different types of units, eg. hero, cannon fodder, heavy unit, etc. Then before a battle, depending on the size of the battle, you create 1-3 squads of 5 units, contained on a 8x16 base, within reason. I hope that explains it, sorry about the confusing wording.

6. What rules are you using for the Magix?
7. Can we use vehicles?
8. are you rolling the dice, or do have to trust each other?

1: Rule of fudge, until I have any good ideas.
2: Depends, either post them here or PM me them and I will decide.
3: I will be rolling.

Also, by the way, we are using Brikwars 2005, with 2010 rules as needed.

That's fine, I just needed to set a limit to make sure that someone didn't come up with loads of different units, and took up loads of space. Also, nice set of units there. Drone units are really cool, and the figs are awesome too!

Yes... drones...

...They certainly didn't stitch a few recently deceased Mechanix into rotting animatronic puppets or anything, why would such a silly thought enter your squishy organic brain in the first place?
