A fort was made long ago, it was said to be all power, it was under the control of the loyal Prime minister Gerard. Until lawmaster payed him much maniac beer to join his cause. The dutch army is now taking back the fort since it is at a crucial point may the battle begin.
Overveiw of dutch army (me).
Overwatch of fort/Trovian army (Dad).
Overwatch of both, you can also see the very boring temple of green.
Turn 1
Nothing happened except movement, NOTHING.
Turn 2
Dutch army
The Calvary rush only to crit fail and fall on trip wires.
The balista fires and fails. 2 crit fails is always a good way to start off the day.
Trovian army
The Calvary are shot in the back from the window.
Shots are fired but none died.
People start taking cover, horses are led by one squad.
Turn 2
Dutch army
The troll fires a cannon and the horses are sacrificed for the others, you shouldn't sacrifice horses.
Queen Karin and friends kill a squad on the first hit.
Trovian army
A heavy pokes out of some cover and rips apart a squad.
A headshot on the engineer sitting on the troll.
The troll freaks out and trys to kill them, he sucks though.
Some crit fails break up a squad
Turn 3
Dutch army
The two who didn't fly back get ripped apart.
The engineer is brought back to life.
The cannon on one artillery breaks.
Revenge is taken and the heavy is blown up.
The nova sword on the hardsuit breaks mid swing allowing the other hardsuit to bail without punishment.
An Overwatch.
Trovian army
The hardsuit puts the already damaged cannon out of business for many turns.
The troll is killed.
Turn 4
Dutch army
The ninja kills another enemy.
An attack fails and two die in the counter.
The medic brings one back to life.
A troop is brought back with one arm.
She jumps
And stabs
and falls
Trovian army
An explosion somehow only disrupts the squad.
The squad fight ends with the dutch squad killed.
A crit fail causes another arm to fall off.
The helicopter blows apart a head.
And the second shot burns him to a crisp
From behind the one hardsuit takes off the head of the other.
Combined fire including missiles = some burning men.
The deceased officer is brought back from the world of the dead.
Helicopter loses a gun.
An armoured unit is shot in the head.
Turn 5
Dutch army
The engineer builds a device, spoiler it does nothing.
After many attacks the almost invincible officer is taken out.
4 units pick up jetpacks fly up and are set with the goal to open the gate, one dies right away.
The Queen jumps up prepared to fight.
Trovian army
The farce isn't with the queen today as she loses her weapon.
The ninja tries getting a kill but doesn't recognize a fellow ninja when he wears a different helmet.
My dad tried shooting, three broken guns....
The queen is shoved off.
Overwatch.
Turn 6
Dutch army
http://s1053.photobucket.com/albums/s46 ... G_0952.jpg
The queen teleports before getting shot.
The gate is broken apart.
Horses and calvary are brought back to life, revenge for horses shall come yet
Trovian army
One medic is killed.
Another armoured unit falls and his soul shall ride to Valhalla on the orange dart.
REVENGE!
Two Calvary die.
3 men die from the falling of the wall.
Engineer gives the hardsuit wings and people grab on.
Trovian army
The engineer works at a weird angle.
*CREAKKKKKK!!!!!!
GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
The ninja forms from air and the Rider is killed.
A kamikaze unit jumps
Only one giant lives
Sniper tries killing giant with pistol
Not the smartest moves considering his brothers were just killed...
Helicopter goes for shot...
It crashes killing all but 4
Turn 7
The hardsuit lands, starts slipping, and lets its units off.
The damage for attacking the hero
He survives though and kills two of them.
The giant goes for an attack...
Revealing a chink in the armour which the infantry use, the last giant is dead!
Trovian army
The infantry aim their shots....
He turns to see the guns and dies
GAH YOU SHOT ME!
We must fight on though!
With one chainsaw he rips the man out....
And the other rips him apart!
Turn 8
Dutch army
A medic is stoned out of his mind and try walking over to get revenge
Not pictured the artillery fire and kill the two infantry that were left.
He kills the medic causing the artillery to flee, He then send out a battle cheer....
Bam

Eberhard: Time to kill that damn chef....

Re: [HH] Battle for fort matip
I can't give you scores, but since you asked for a review:
I liked the terrain and the wall you built, the shiny plastic floor reflecting the flash I liked slightly less. I don't know if it's the reason you seem to have turned flash off, but right past the start, some of the pics were too dark. Later in the report the pictures got way better.
Maybe you could have slightly more uniformed armies, but I wouldn't worry too much about this. Randomness can be cool too.
Some people might disagree with me, but I liked the funky robots partaking in the battle. Inclusion of vehicles is always a big plus in my book. The mix of melee and ranged is also nice and the forces seemed well-balanced.
I liked the shot with the people being set on fire a lot, as well as the one where the guy's head goes flying. When it comes to gore, remember, more is always good. Although I understand while playing with multiple persons, you don't want to spend too much time on this.
A pre-made explosion like Silent Sigfig once used in the Fall of Starport 71-something (now that I think about it, why the hell did he not submit? Whyyy? ) can help you out with this.
I don't really like seeing parts of the house or people in pics, not for any particular reason other than that they draw attention away from the battle a little, and lessen the immersion, the feeling (or illusion) you're looking at an actual Lego world, you have in it.
I hope that told you more than some random numbers would have.

Re: [HH] Battle for fort matip
Thank you for the reveiw and shiny floor thing is because I don't have any large hard surface places I could keep this for 3 days. I didn't check my pictures till the end of the first day and I realized that they were way to dark. And gore I didn't have a lot of so I had to make do. Also the house and other things were a big mistake I made. Thanks for the review though.Bragallot wrote:I can't give you scores, but since you asked for a review:

Re: [HH] Battle for fort matip
No problem, having done many forum battles I realize space / time / briksources can all be serious constraints. The pictures already got a lot better as the battle progressed, so I'm sure you'll keep improving.
