We use PathfinderLITE which is a wonderfully easy to use yet powerfully robust version of Pathfinder... which is essentially an awesome version of D&D 3.5.

Last adventure we ran was We Be Goblins and it was a blast.

Here's some photos.

This was our first "total party kill"... not a single character survived this adventure. They did make it to the final encounter with Vorka the fearsome cannibal goblin. However she, and her animal companions Lord Long Tongue and Cuddles, proved to be too much for our goblin heroes. It was actually Lord Long Tongue, the giant toad, who killed almost everyone. Cuddles, the mangy dog, killed the last goblin.

There were several theories as to why. Dice were blamed the most and admittedly there were a lot of really bad rolls; it seemed as if rolling higher than a 10 was a feat of amazement. I don't recall having to use the Critical Fumble Deck so many times in one game! The giant spider's treasure would have been a boon to their survival but alas they did not think to go searching for the spider's nest after it was slain. I think a key issue was not embracing goblin tactics. While the information I send out about up-coming adventures is entertaining it's also quite relevant. Employing stealth, ambushes, and dastardly fighting tactics would have made a huge difference. Instead they were the ones ambushed and the victims of Vorka's devious tactics.

Here's some photos from adventures past...

Hokay, first of, hi.

Second, here's a really awesome DnD story, 4 parts-(Scroll down a tiny bit) http://www.reddit.com/r/DnD/comments/14 ... greentext/

3rd, As my group has just started their journey, I don't have a lot of epic stories to tell, but I'll tell what I've got so far.
The funniest thing thats happened was when my friends sister wanted to join us, she created her charecter and everything, and she was a bard. She couldn't think of a name, and some people were doing Ermegerd jokes, so she decided that that would be her characters last name. She also had a very low intelligence score. So, how the DM explained us meeting her was we went into a tavern, and she was there playing, we asked her name after we had had a few drinks, and when she told us, we asked her to join our group, our group of all big, muscular, odd looking men, and she of course said yes. Also, her last name is now our battle cry.
The most epic moment was after a dungeon, the boss was a 20 foot tall skeleton with a ten foot long katana. The DM knew my character was the strongest out of all of us, so he made it target me first and not stop until I died. After a few buff spells from our sorcerer, I was pretty much un-hitalbe. But this skeleton had some kind of ultimate attack, when the DM was sure could get through the buff. The roll ended up being like, 40 or something. Some how, my character was able to withstand that. So the DM said that as his sword was coming down, I brought my shield up, stopped the sword in its tracks and then hit it up into the ceiling, where his sword got stuck. It was freaking amazing, our whole group was cheering.

So, that's about it all for now, but on Friday our group is playing and then going to the Hobbit, so I should have some more stories then.

like some people do, i treat DnD like i would a serious project, looking for right combinations. i really like 3.5, especially the goliath from races of stone. once combination i did was a ranger5/ cragtop archer5/ peregrine scout10. this gives you an epic scout that can shoot over a mile with no penalty, and never get tired.
another idea i liked is a goliath monk, mainly because goliaths get treated as large teachers whenever beneficial, such as when calculating unarmed combat damage. also, i like that monks have so many unique abilities.

Yeah, so I played last night like I said. Nothing much happened. We got hired to press a button in a cave. It was a trap of course, but we did it anyways, as we were wanted something to do sense we only had 2 hours. We pressed it, floor around us fell, 30 ft tall demon thing came out. Guy who hired us came out and started attacking it. We couldn't do much to it. Guy defeated it, paid us and stuff. It was mostly a story building night, but, it was fun anyways. Hobbit was amazing as well.
