mostly true now, but third party support is still lackluster. probably less than 10% of computer owners have linux.

Aaand the percentage of computer owners that would be considered hardcore gamers would be?

Literally every country where the most amount of people are middle class has about 1 computer per household, and so a better statistic would be amount of gamers that prefer using computers to game, which would be about 30%.

I was making fun of the fact the the whole thing is in a sealed metal case, preventing the end-user from upgrading the components. It's like a car with a sealed hood. I like being able to check my oil and replace my headlights without going to a mechanic. I also like being able to replace or add parts as needed, rather than buying a whole new overpriced computer. However, if you want to pay way more money to not think about your computer's innards, then that's your choice.

That's a good argument, but it's so powerful you'll only need to change it after about 3 years. besides, with heavy tools you could just cut it open.

After three years?  With a PC desktop, you can keep your shit updated after much longer than that for much less money, which means more legos or videogames.

Or you can get the tower, the lesser model for about the same price as the monitor-computer. I just use a mac book.

I had a Dell 2400 that I got in 2001. It lasted me 9 years. Sure, it crashed twice, but it still served me decently.

I would be a PC gamer if I could afford a PC that could play games at the graphics settings PC gamers tell me are far superior to consoles.
