A single ship bursts from the tear in space. Thousands of energy blasts fire at the vessel; thousands of energy blasts miss. The ship twists and wheels effortlessly between the incoming beams.

KLEINER: "A Class 487 DSM Space Cruiser!"

PILTOGG: "Cease fire! We're more likely to hit ourselves than to score a mark on a DSM Pilot. If he were hostile, we'd know it already."




The strange green craft sets down on an upper deck.

KLEINER: "We have no record of this craft appearing in green. Could it be from an alternate past BrikVerse?"

[Keldoclock]

Stubby once again shames the entire forum with his endless collection of briks and nearly endless array of photographic and building skill

OTO: "Unidentified Deadly SpaceMan! You are not authorized -"

GREEN DSM: "Greetings Akkadians! It seems you've been gathering Artifakts of Pre-Creation. Enough power concentrated in one place to tear holes in the BrikVerse itself, without the knowledge to control it. We DSMs have had some experience with this, although we didn't need to rely on Artifakts to boost our ass-kicking levels artificially."

OTO: "Now hold it right -"

GREEN DSM: "Does that offend you? I'll tell you right now that ass-kicking is my birthright, and there's not a single one among you who could challenge me in battle, not even the one called Piltogg. The force of Authorial Fiat is on my side, and it's more powerful than any of the Artifakts you yet possess. But you will not understand this power unless you survive the Grail. And you can't hope to resist this power without the Banhammer."




OTO: "How dare you -"

GREEN DSM: "Since there's no combat here for me, I'll offer a game instead! Are there any here who are brave enough to trade blows with a DSM? This weapon I hold is from the Original BrikVerse; its name is the Random Axe of Violence. I will let any one of you strike me in the neck with it, if you'll let me then do the same to you. I will gift the Axe to whoever accepts my challenge."




LORD KRUS: "Is this true? Can a single Deadly SpaceMan be more powerful than all the Artifakts we've collected so far?"

PILTOGG: "I've faced DSMs before, but my Tactical Feats tell me that all of us together couldn't defeat this one. There's a strange power at work here."

LORD KRUS: "Then let me be the one to take his challenge! You are too important to risk in this strange DSM's game."

PILTOGG: "Very well."




LORD KRUS: "Vas Kallas. Please hold my weapons."

VAS KALLAS: "Good luck, Lord Krus."

GREEN DSM: "Excellent! A single brave Knight among this hesitant lot. To you, I gift the Axe. Remember though, once you've struck your blow, you must allow me to strike mine."

LORD KRUS: "I will honor your game."




GREEN DSM: "Then let's waste no time! Look; I offer no resistance. Take your swing!"

LORD KRUS: "Very well!"




Thwack! The Axe cuts cleanly through the Green DSM's neck, and the head bounces to the floor.

AKKADIAN TWEEN GIRLS: (swoon)

ROSS VARN: "stupid heroic krus!"

GREEN DSM HEAD: "Body! Pick me up!"

LORD KRUS: "Wait, what?"




GREEN DSM HEAD: "That was quite an impressive swing! You've earned the Axe, to be sure. But now I must return it, blow for blow, by the terms of my game."

LORD KRUS: "Well this has gone less well than I hoped."




GREEN DSM: "Are you not prepared to offer your neck in return? Sadly, the game is already in motion, and I can no more back out of it than you can. But I'll allow this: a delay, and a riddle. At the end of twelve turns, you will meet me at the Green Grotto. If you haven't solved my riddle by that time, then you will accept my blow, as I accepted yours."

LORD KRUS: "And what is the riddle?"

GREEN DSM: "In peace, violence;
In foolishness, genius;
in corruption, purity;
in defeat, victory."




LORD KRUS: "That sounds like a pretty stupid riddle."

GREEN DSM: "It is! But that's the one you get. My game, my riddle. I'll see you in twelve turns!"

I can probably see that with the DSM, although you guys probably have access to every mold ever made.

The chrome scimitar came in one of those 4+ Pirates sets. The chrome 1x1 dots were pretty common in Harry Potter sets for a couple of years. The green DSM is photoshopped from blue. The Insectoids armors are the ones I'm not sure about.
