I will definitely consider that name.Zupponn wrote:Dreadknite
The car started out as just me wanting to build a nice-looking car. I assembled two identical guys to sit in it, and then that happened.

It looks like something I'd see on Lego Racers ahah!

I love your cars. And that Dreadknight is amazing. I also like the idea behind the hallucinating soldier and the haunter. I can see whole squads of drugged out crazies being driven by a Haunting Overlord. So simple but very effective, especially with the design you've got there.
Re: Some miniature forces
Some great stuff here man!
I really like those cars in the first group. Nice lines, big tires, and good colors.
Dreadknight is epic.
I love the tractor =)
Where did you get the wings on those flying skeletons? They are rad!

Thanks again. The wings are from the new Legends of Chima line, and they come in both black and white. Yeah, they're really useful.

Re: Some miniature forces
I've been doing some more doodling with Lego and have another small force to post. Some of the less important pictures are terrible quality, but hopefully they're readable enough.
It's some sort of space navy. The funny thing is that they don't have any ships. It currently consists of three infantry, a hero (naval sergeant... in space! cliché), a heavy gunner, a mekanik, an IF (independent flight) trooper, a pilot, and some sort of air/space craft.
Just look at those eager faces. You can just see the young naivety in their eyes, just waiting to be crushed by the sudden realization that they're probably going to die soon.
Here are the hero and gunner. Turns out I didn't take a new picture of the mekanik. The mekanik is equipped with a maintenance pack, and carries a buzz saw, rivet gun, hammer, and blowtorch. He doesn't carry any weapons, but he can use his power tools to defend himself should he find himself in a less-than-ideal situation.
The hero carries an energy axe and a sub machine gun.
The gunner is armed with a heavy laser gun.
Pew pew pew!
This is the mekanik's maintenance pack. Here you can see the jolt thrusters that keep him from getting knocked on his back. I'm going to give the pack an ability that revents the wearer from being disrupted.
These guys here are the pilot and the IF trooper. The pilot is a pilot. The IF trooper is sent outside of ships to scout, check for damage, or deal with small enemies on the ship's exterior. He carries two rivet guns so he can make quick patch repairs as place holders until the mekanik can deal with them.
Jetpack. Fwoooosh!
This is the air/space craft. It has no name. It has no soul.
The landing gear does, in fact, fold up.
It's armed with four size 2 machine guns, but they can't arc fire, and must fire straight.
And I'll finish it off with a swoosh shot.
I also plan on making a small hover transport for the infantry.
I still have two other forces to finish, but I'm working on something rather large for both of them. Stay tuned!

Re: Some miniature forces
As usual, your weapons and minifig accessories are brilliant. The aerospace craft was pretty awesome too. I really want to see a forum battle, or at least a regular battle, with some of these troops.

Re: Some miniature forces
The IF trooper reminds of of "Hawk" from the Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future series.
The mechanik's backpck kis quite cool as well. Can you post a shot from the other side as well please? The building technique is not clear to me.
And the space sifghter is plain beautiful!

Love the mechanik's backpack. Maybe if the mechanik falls over, the backpack is programmed to push him back upright?

Re: Some miniature forces
I love all of these.
The fighter is awesome. That mechanic's backpack is fucking genius. The machine gun is cool and I love the use of the crackerjack sailors.
The axe is funny- I built almost exactly the same thing for one of my guys, I don't think I posted a pic yet.
EDIT: oh and the jetpack! I was working on something similar with the flags as wings but was stymied, you've given me dome great ideas!
