Moronstudios (I think) uploaded a video of them doing this at a con. It was actually kind of awesome.

This is a good place for a Stumble Die. Like, roll 3sd6, move accordingly. For each 1, drop 5"; each 6, rise 5".

I ran brikwars for my nephew when he was 4 and we played with only coin tosses - to this day he still bugs me about when we can play the "lego game" again. Now that he's 6 and actually plays games with dice in them, it might be high-time to introduce him to Brikwars, or at least Quikwars.

That Space Marine's powered armor is at a good balancing point: no penalty to movement means that he's still pretty mobile and useful, but no half-speed movement or sprinting still limits him in some pretty interesting ways.

Actually, if he takes his armor off, he does have a 10" move. At least, he's paid the points for it- in the exceedingly rate circumstance that a living Galaxy Patrolman took his armor off, I'd probably not use all of it. 10" on a Minifig is silly. I just wanted him to be "unencumbered" by his armor. At least in terms of speed. The other encumbrances are perfectly appropriate to what I'm trying to simulate with them.

I'd love to work out a point value for buying Move specifically for the purpose of offsetting the Move reduction by Armor (ie, with the Armor removed they only move the standard Minifig 5") but:

6) I think it would be highly abusable, especially if made available to Vehicles and Monsters;

7) I'm not necessarily concerned with being points-efficient, these guys are 'Ard enough without trying to wring every point I can out of them;

8) I found it to be a remarkable synchronicity that when I totaled up what I had been spitballing, the CP cost was 16- the same as the point cost for a Space Marine in 40K (last I knew).

I'm okay if he has a 10" move without his armour on, I mean, this guy is a direct descendent of the Deadly Space Man. You don't get that logo on your armour by being a dimmy.

If it were my unit, the speed boost would be attached to the armor rather than the minifig, and it'd also grant Compensating.

    Power Armor (5.5CP total)
    Body Armor: Armored, Half Move (2CP)
    Powered Exoskeleton: +5" (subject to Half Move), Compensating (3.5CP)

That actually solves another problem I was having. I will edit the card....

I'll be using that now for my space marine armor.

It's a long story. But if you want to put them in the app, here they are.

Edit: Realized I could employ the Spoiler tag so as not to take over the thread.

Love those cards! But I think all minotaurs need a good charge ability, like they can run as long as they want at 15" a turn and do 3d6 damage to all units hit while running, but afterwards because of head injury they get that damage done to themselves, but reduce 3/4 the dice.

Okay guys the cards for the default Lego minifg series people, I can't use those because they have pictures which are the property of Lego, and those descriptions for them are also the property of Lego. What you can do is take new pictures of those units and use your pics for the cards, and use your own descriptions. Maybe make the descriptions more like BrikWars too. I know I did the Gladiator like this, but I'm going to take that card out and re-do it. The Zombie one I already did uses other pictures also.

I'm actually tacking them together for a personal project, and that's more effort than it warrants. :). I won't cross post any more here though.

If you have gimp then you can use this: http://www.mediafire.com/?6cdw7apqq71u8yd. It's HAL-9001's Gimp template.
