How about:

Regular: no armor piece
Light Armor: Pauldrons and/or torso print armor. Then it's like chain mail or something.
Heavy Armor: Armor Piece, no helmet
Full Armor: Armor Piece with helmet

It's not a strict rule. If you want a guy to be in heavy armor, then just say he's in heavy armor. We're just putting out a guideline so that we have something to base armor levels off of.

Light Armor will be an armor piece with a non-visored or missing helmet, giving you SL:1 / Ar:1d10. Heavy Armor will be an armor piece with a visored helmet, giving you SL:1 / Ar:1d10, Half Speed, and the Armored bonus.
Are you insane? Galaxy Patrol has no visor and you can't fit one on there. Also, some older castle helmets have no visor such as the Dragonmaster helmet, or the one which has like 4 bars over the face.

If you don't already know the answer to this question by now, I'm not sure what to tell you.

How dare you question my edicts? Everyone knows that all BrikWars rules must be followed to the letter and that deviation will not be tolerated.

Anyway. I decided not to give SL:1 to armored units. It was too much trouble trying to introduce Structure Level before the MOC Combat chapters. So (I think the updates are uploaded already) it's now Body Armor: +2 Armor, -1" Move; Heavy Armor: Armored (renamed to Shielded), Half Speed.

Aha! I had a feeling that you'd go with the easiest option, which is just to include 2005-style armor for people who prefer that one.

Already found a few words missing under the new body armor section. I'm to lazy to quote so just cntrl+f "and prevents swimming or any kind".

EDIT: I am really liking what I see with the new body armor and heavy shield rules. First I was a bit against when the discussion was going because I was afraid that we would get way to much classifying catagories and other stuff to remember. This is simple and easy on the brain, exactly the way I like it. Keep up the good work!!!!

That reminds me, I forgot to say that the regular Body Armor rules are for everyone but Colette. He's still limited to just Heavy Armor. I'll go edit that into the rulebook later.

TBH in the end I like this solution. I do have a few superheavy, walking tank troops that would deserve the 2010 armor, but my troopers with their lesser armor can still use the 2005 armor as an intermediate step between memetic armor and 2010 armor.

I should fucking slap you.

This IS what memetic armor should be - you either get no armor, light armor, or heavy armor. There are no intermediate steps.

It is mimetic you assholes. Like a mime. It mimics shit, so if a bullet hits it then it deforms to accommodate the bullet but not kill the person wearing it. Learn to spell-check.
