Re: My Army
I always put them below but it literally doesn't matter. If the reader can't figure out the flow of your presentation based on caption placement, your content is already too intelligent for them.

Re: My Army
As long as they're spaced properly so that they're easy to follow, it doesn't really matter.

The volume of white space,
is too damn high!

Show me a publication that puts captions above the pictures.

Re: My Army
I like to describe the thing that I'm showing, then show it.
So that way people are equipped with the information they need to properly view the image.

Then after people have seen it I may put a comment below the image that is only relevant after viewing the image.

All the publications will soon be dead. I blame bottom captions.Pwnerade wrote:Show me a publication that puts captions above the pictures.
Re: My Army
I had to look at a grand total of 2 sites before I found one. (CNN puts their captions below.)Pwnerade wrote:Show me a publication that puts captions above the pictures.

EDIT: And then the very next article I look at on Gizmodo, captions on top:

Re: My Army
You have to remember though that Tzan doesn't use the internet for his news. He still uses newspapers and magazines.

Re: My Army
I only use tv.
The internet is exactly like a newspaper, you have to read it, except its more annoying with shit around the edges flashing at you, trying to distract you from the one thing you went there for.
Although the article about graphene supercapacitors was rather awesome.

Re: My Army
I don't know if it really matters if captions are above or below.... trend seems to be below, I'm gonna follow the trend... from now on.
NEW PICS!!!!
Battle truck, its a truck, made for battle.
Front view. Lots of lights and a bush bar. Yes, that's a finger. Didn't realize until after. Meh.
Can carry two motorcycles.
Or an ATV.
Or 6 guys in the back, driver and passenger, and last but not least the gunner. 9 dudes... 9 DUDES!!!
And they all pile out and lay a beating on some other army. Or not, depends on dice rolls I guess.
Shot of gunner on top. Obviously.

Re: My Army
I stand corrected. I was just thinking of magazines and newspapers.
That's a great truck. Flexibility is always key in war. When my dad was in the army, his motto was "Semper Gumby," which means "always flexible."

Re: My Army
Thanks dude. I was going for a 60's 2 wheel drive hot rod truck look with a post apocalyptic theme.
