Smutty Shark, eh? She will need a carved topless mermaid adorning the boy, then.

I am sure I can arrange something along those lines, if I can find a way of attaching a minifig to the front without bluetac or glue. I wish there was a plate 1x4 with 3 studs and a hole where the fourth should be - that would be ideal. Just stick the neck post through the hole...

So like this only a little longer and narrower?

http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?col ... itemID=502

Best way to get that would be to take a 1x4, cut off the 3rd stud and drill it out, alas....

yeah just like that. I might have to commit Lego Heresy and do just that. I got shed loads of reddish brown 1x4 plates so I can sacrifice one for the greater good.

Yeah, I did that last June. Lots of paperwork involved, isn't there? It is nice though - I have a room in the basement that I'm getting prepped to be the Lego room! :)

Just don't do what I did and try to speed-paint 3 rooms in a 100+ degree heat wave with only a cheap (and woefully underpowered) window AC unit... I pulled half the muscles in my back, but damned if I didn't get those rooms painted! Then I got to sleep for 36 hours after the doctors gave me the 3 V's (Vicodin for the pain, Valium to relax the muscles in my back, and an enforced day of Vacation because the two meds knocked me out cold for 36 hours).

i wish the basement was large enough for a dedicated Lego room, its only about 120 sqft. basically, it started as a dirt cellar and the previous owner put in a concrete floor and cinder block walls. its only large enough for the water heater and the furnace :( although, i might dig out more later on, even if only to be able to reinforce the stone foundation and add storage space..

i will use the sitting room/bedroom outside of the master bed room as my lego room. just gotta get rid of the shag carpet first, eww. well, that and rewire the house, lol. the lego collection will be one of the last things i move over, i might need to rent a u-hual for that, lol.

Got various dark grey plates through the post so at least the bottom deck floor is done.

That set is overpriced in my opinion, yet I've found the parts are useful.

Many pirate ship sets have bow-mounted minifigs, so perhaps you could research their methods.

Interesting - I might have to put a foremast on mine as a token mast in order to stick the minifig underneath it...

Got my third Ice Tunnelator from the bricklink dude, also a friend picked up a mandalorian battle pack for me, because it was on clearance for what, 6$-ish? Kind of a no-brainer
