Re: In the Cold North - Forum RPG
"Good. We choose as for-fighter... Ornup!"
The big goblin points at Ornup, who twists around with a squeal of fear.
"B-bar Fyespon..." Ornup says.
"Ornup! On bozer na en razbri snatan... ken na azzarna." the big goblin says, with a look at the wolves.
Terrified, Ornup draws a short sword with a shaking hand, and steps forward.

Oh god I do not like this.
But I am honor-bound to my agreement.
Like the setting sun, my blade comes down upon the Goblin, Ornup.

Re: In the Cold North - Forum RPG
Gerald rolled Initiative 15+0
Ornup rolled Initiative 14+1 (rolled for tie; Ornup wins)
Ornup makes the first swing, but steps wrong due to nervosity and is left off balance.
Gerald rolled Melee 4+2 vs. AC
Gerald swings too high and fails to take advantage of the situation. Ornup gets balanced and attacks again, but the sword strikes a thick part of Gerald's armor.
Gerald rolled Melee 1+2 vs. AC
Gerald reaches out too far with his longsword. Ornup gets inside his defenses... and hits Gerald's armor head first.
Gerald rolled Melee 1+2 vs. AC
Stepping away from the goblin, Gerald trips over his own feet and falls prone. Ornup stabs down, but hits the floor between Gerald's legs.
Gerald rolled Melee 13+2 vs. AC, rolled damage 8+1
Gerald, still only seeing the ceiling, desperately swings his sword downwards to get the goblin away from him. The sword gets stuck in something. Gerald looks up, and finds that his sword is halfways through Ornup. The goblin falls over.
"Oh, you win," the big goblin says. "We go. Say at your warriors to let forward us. We will not to bother you... and you will not to look after us."
(OOC: My god. Both of you rolled so many 1s...)

Re: In the Cold North - Forum RPG
You remove the barricade, and the goblins and wolves move out, leering at you. You notice that the big goblin's backpack is weighed down by something heavy and orb-shaped, about half a foot in diameter.
When they have left, Adarim blocks the door again.
The fire is still burning in the room where the goblins stayed. The room is full of smoke; it would be difficult to breathe in there for any longer period of time.

Maybe it's the smoke that makes your eyes tear. Or an invisible leprechaun is hiding nearby and casting stells to make you trip just for his own amusement. He likes slapstick comedyArkbrik wrote:OOC: My god. Both of you rolled so many 1s...

I will attempt to contain my amusement with the slapstick that just occurred, Then I will suggest that we camp in the room for the night, as I am no use to anyone in my current state.
The only unflawed system is Lego System.

Man, that thing was described in way too much detail for it to not be important, but in-character we don't have any reason to suspect anything. So let's just put that fire out and keep 'splorin.

Re: In the Cold North - Forum RPG
You put out the fire and the smoke slowly thins. Where to next? The second door leading from the corridor, or the door leading from the goblins' room?

Second door from the corridor.
