NASA Lego Contest [updated with my entry]
Holy shit, this is actually happening. NASA is sponsoring a LEGO contest to design a futuristic aircraft and build it out of lego bricks. Unfortunately (for us) they won't accept military-themed entries, but on the bright side they've also banned the use of any clone brands. There's two categories: basically, in one of them you have to write a research paper about your creation and in the other you don't. I figure I'll enter something if I have time between all the other shit I have to do this summer.

Every time I see it, I'm amazed at both the sheer scale and the amount of detail.Tzan wrote:Done

Re: NASA Lego Contest!
I hope they're not planning on building the entries for real. They'd have to strip mine an entire star system to build that.Tzan wrote:Done

Yes, The Bumbleborg is my greatest achievement.
My research paper will describe how the engines are fueled by nectar collected from flowers on over 9000 worlds.

I'll be honest, I was skeptical of this design. But then you dubbed it the bumbleborg. IT MUST NOW BE BUILT!

Re: NASA Lego Contest!
What.
I mean, banning kids in Iran or Myanmar from uploading a picture of their lego creation to an online contest seems like kind of a dick move, but I guess it makes some sense since the NASA is part of the government and it wouldn't be allowed to send them the prize if they win. But... Quebec? I don't even.
Nice spaceship by the way.

French people are terrible. If they didn't exist than the USA wouldn't either, and Canada would be 45% more awesome. Fucking dumb rednecks.samuelzz10 wrote:French in general are fuckers. America was discovered by an Italian, and Jamestown was made by settlers from England. But hey, I don't love America, I just live here.Silverdream wrote:French people are terrible.
