Re: Bavarian Army Update July 26th 2013
PANZER MK Vand a keg of beer.
The Mk V, also colloquially known as a Gustav is the latest Bavarian tank. Each flank is protected by a steel dress and a size four gun.
Here is the Gustav with guns folded in and her dress taken off.
As you can see beer, the front of the Mk V has three grenade launchers and a flamethrower. Enough to take care of the most dedicated infrantry.
Her main gun has a built in druid system, which not only adds accuracy but shows all the friendly, neutral and hostile units on a battlefield.
She can fit four men inside her, but with effort more can squeeze in. The most common arrangement is 3 pilots and one gunner, but 3 gunners and 1 pilot is also popular.

Actually one of my favorite tanks. I don't like the iron skirt though. It has obvious purpose in battle but it detracts from the look of the tank. It also looks really fragile IRL

Hell yes. New turret makes the tank look awesome.

I'm not 100% sure, but it looks to me like those treads could be brought in a tad.

For the first time, I kind of wish I hadn't deleted all of silva's early posts, so I could link to the early Silvarian vehicles for comparison. But I still remember them. Pretty amazing difference.

^This was awesome and amazing. I can't believe you guys disrespected it so much. Jerks.
Also, thanks for all the kind words plus whatever Zupponn meant.

What I meant was that the treads are sticking out a little too much for my taste. I feel that bringing them in would make the tank look sleeker.

Re: Bavarian Army Update July 26th 2013
That looks like it would require ripping the entire thing apart. I would suggest just extending the joint for the side skirts outward so that they drape straight down the side instead of at an angle. Unless that's what you were going for, in which case I approve.Zupponn wrote:What I meant was that the treads are sticking out a little too much for my taste. Still, this is impressive. I'm surprised you were able to pull off the shape with only basic slopes. And that dual machine gun is cool as hell.

New Guns!
These are the new BK-3 handheld railguns. They have a secondary fire mode, which fires a small tracker at the target. The tracker gives bonuses to hit.
This is a gun I have no name or stats for.
The heavy heavy bolter. For when your opponents are especially deadly.
A flamer in the hands of an unfinished unit.

Panzer Drone Schnittrenne
The Schnittrenne is a computerized tankette meant for anti-armour support, named for it's gun. Schnitt and trenne are the German words for cut and sever, and the main gun is a size five blastgun.
In addition, it's armed with two size one guns and two Mk I missiles, in case the main gun breaks.
Here is Bavaria's minister of war, Direktor Boermann standing next to the trustworthy drone.
And here is big Brother Gustav. Together with the Dreadnut, they are an unstoppable team.
