Image

A Medivo Elven Phalanx creeps cautiously into an old ruin, and with good reason...

Image

Because an AotD necromancer is haunting it!

Image

The Phalanx uses his shield wall ability, upping his defense and lowering ranged enemy's ability to hit.

Image

But the necromancer hits anyway with a ranged wand attack, and wands can't be parried by shields, so the Phalanx suffers a hit.

Image

The necromancer runs in to settle things with his death blade, but to his surprise finds his enemy is getting up!

Image

The elf charges...

Image

His momentum knocks the necromancer backwards, but his spear misses its mark.

Image

The necromancer gets up and strikes with his death blade, but the elf manages to parry. He readies his spear for a thrust...

Image

But it gets parried as well!

Image

The necromancer then uses his last ability, dark magic, to try and turn his enemy inside out, but the phalanx withstands it. Since all weapons have been used and the necromancer is in the lead though, the battle is ended.

Image

The undead are silent even in victory. Narrow victory (1-0) to the necromancer.

Image

A Hitokiri on patrol finds a nearby hill, thinking it an ideal place to make camp.

Image

What he doesn't know is that an AotD Wight has already made itself at home there!

Image

The Wight closes in and uses his Screech ability, a powerful short-ranged attack that only works against the living, but crit fails.

Image

The Hitokiri rides up the hill and fires his Daikyu, critting towards a whopping 18 damage hit, enough for two hits.

Image

The Wight charges and the Hitokiri quickly discards his bow, reaching for his katana...

Image

The Wight outmaneuvers him, but can't crack the Hitokiri's tough body armour.

Image

The Hitokiri takes a swing, but the Wight manages to parry it...

Image

and, having no other choice than to attack with his scythe again, slams the end into the Hitokiri's gut. Once again though, the damage is insufficient.

Image

The warrior topples off his horse, which thunders on, but manages to hold on to his naginata...

Image

It doesn't count as another hit since the dice said he missed, but all weapons are used, the fight is over, so the Wight is annihilated.

Image

As the wight fades into nothingness the Hitokiri pledges the victory to his ancestors. Victory to him! (2-0)

Yeah, it only took me a little over a year to get back to it. I should probably finish it before starting something new.

Image

A Techknight has been trudging through a frozen wasteland for days, desperate for food. This isn't the heroic variation of the Techknight, but his stats and arsenal of weapons is still almost hero-worthy...

Image

He stumbles upon a dwarf who's beating a dead horse. The dwarf is tough and has a better-than-average axe and shield and has the grudge ability, but will it be enough?

Image

Instinctively charging, the Techknight crit fails his lance attack.

Image

The dwarf crit fails as well.

Image

The Technight's horse shoots a spike (stand-in for the horse gun, which I didn't have) at the dwarf which misses...

Image

The Techknight crit fails his parry (seriously, what's up with my dice :| ) but his armour stops the blow.

Image

For once not crit-failing, he strikes the dwarf, who eats the damage.

Image

He has little options apart from keeping on trying to hack through the Technknight's armour.

Image

The Technight fires his jetpack, which will keep him out of range of the dwarf for one round of combat. He fires his last weapon, his hand cannon...

Image

... and kills the brave dwarf.

Image

Narrow (1-0) victory to the Techknight, who claims his prize.

Image

A not-so-white-anymore dragon knight has found a treasure chest in the wreckage of an old ship.

Image

He has a sword, a lance and a horse, and is well-armoured and skilled.

Image

What he doesn't know is he's on sacred ground. The Medivo Elven Archer takes aim, something he's good at, not to mention Elven Bows only have 3 UR, improved range and damage.

Image

Both crit and the dragon knight actually blocks it.

Image

When he gets on his horse and charges, the elf legs it...

Image

... but he is nevertheless lanced and thrown back, taking a hit.

Image

The dragon knight draws his sword and charges in for the kill...

Image

The elf is able to get up and get another shot off, but it's not enough, it gets parried again!

Image

The dragon knight then decapitates his adversary with some sweet overkill damage (2 hits). No luck for the elves so far.

Image

The dragon knight claims his phat lewt. Large victory for him (3-0).

Zup: Alright. I'll put the winners between spoiler tags when I have the time.

Image

A stray water mage is on his way to a granary, hoping to find some rest.

Image

Instead he finds an imperial landsknecht and slaughtered villagers!

Image

Determined to avenge the farmers, the water mage fires a magic missile. It hits, but doesn't do enough damage.

Image

The landsknecht tries to continue his killing spree, but misses.

Image

The water mage attacks with magic, nearly drowning the landsknecht (1-0).

Image

The landsknecht has to make the hit to survive, and he does! (1-1) The water mage tried to use his magic shield but it didn't work.

Image

He then tries to smack the landsknecht with his staff, but this is where the landknecht's special ability to attack first when an enemy closes for melee comes into play... it isn't so helpful when you miss though.

Image

Luckily for him the mage crit fails. The match goes to sudden death as the landsknecht draws back his pike...

Image

The water mage tries to resist the powerful blow by summoning his magic shield...

Image

... but the pike cuts right through.

Image

The landknecht then impales the water mage, finishing it.

Image

The killing spree continues! (2-1)

You attach it to a horn piece and then shove the horn into the minifig's empty arm socket. I think it only works on old torsos.
