these two things do not go together
IMHO, the major companies could use some fresh indie-dev-style thinking.
microsoft makes indie gaming impossible
seeing as icrosoft ecourages Indie Xbox devs,I don't see how. Anyway,Indie is a contingency plan if I don't get in to Microsoft (I am an Indie dev anyway right now).

Hi a New Guy here

Post by Gorthaff » Tue Dec 03, 2013 3:29 pm

First off hello everyone!

As you might have guessed by now, I'm new to the forums. In a sense at least, as I have been stalking around, for quiet a while for now. The problem was, that I couldn't create an account: whenewer I tried to open the page, i got godaddy's 404 error, which is friggin rude by the way. In order to see the forums, I had to translate them with google, and even then only text and posted pictures showed up. Strangely, when I tried to access the forums from a different Internet connection, I could get in without any trouble.

Npw with the technical stuff out of the way( I pray to god :studgod: that it can be solved) let me introduce myself.

I'm from hungary. I am 17, and have no particular reason to use the name, Gorthaff.
My love for LEGO began as soon as I got my first set. IOr rather my first pilr of random bricks. It was all my father had (they were hard as shit to get during the socialism) and since then i have expanded it to something I thoght was a sizable collection, but looking at some of your stuff, i'm not even sure if i am in the low-mid tire in tearms of pieces.

That's enough for now, I think I will follow with posting my faction in the armoury sometime soon, provided of course that I don't get fucked over by my internet.
I couldn't come up with anything smart, original or funny, so <=THIS=> is what you get.
ENJOY IT!!!

Congrats, and welcome to the forums! If you're from Hungary, I'd recommend talking to ZahruII, as he has an awesome medieval army and also lives in the same country. You two might even be able to play face-to-face brikwars battles at some point.

I believe that many parts of eastern europe have been IP banned by stubby to try and stem the tide of spambot hordes.

If that is the case, I would recommend getting a whitelist from stubby. I think Insert_Blank (from China, another spambot factory) did something similar.

Well That'd be nice, but for the past three days it has been working, and so it did from other compuiters, so maybe that is not the issue.
For the white list, should I pm him or something?

I recently whitelisted a bunch of IPs from Hungary, so it might be you just got lucky.

Can't make any promises. If a bunch of spambots come in and it happens to be in your IP range then it may get banned again. But it's been a couple years since we last had any big problem with spambots, so -- fingers crossed!

To all those interested, hello.

My name is Nicholas. However, you may call me by my username - Quadruple.Digits - for which there is no logical explanation. But it suits me fine.

I do live with the FBI. Currently. It is an interesting experience for both of us. This 'living' takes place in Australia, in that strange city they call 'Melbourne'. Which means I'm in a different time zone to 90% of you. What fun!

Currently, my quest log is empty. Maybe I can find a dragon sometime soon. Or I could set about finding a profile pic...

Helloooooooooooooooo!

Post by Redback » Thu Dec 26, 2013 7:08 pm

Hello to all, and to all, hello!

Redback the newbie here. UK-based, mostly fantasy-based LEGO collector (Castle, LOTR, Hobbit, Chima, etc), and longtime Brikwars player (Seriously, stared playing back when I was about 15 or something)

Me first time on the forum though, so hopefully I won't screw up too much. And me and a friend have a fairly huge battle upcoming in about a week, so keep an eye out for the battle report for that!

Anyways, see y'all around the forum!

I am a man of many names, but you may call me... Kip. Yes, I live with my mother, but that's only because I'm currently too young to be living on my own. I was born in Brooklyn, NY, but I've lived most of my life in the Shawangunk Mountains, just outside of Pine Bush, NY. As for now, my quest is to Light Up the Night.

Hello Kip. A piece of advice: don't listen to Overwatch_Elite or Silverdream ( or silvadream for that matter)
