The hole doesn't look like it's been punched, more like a deliberate part of the door's design. It looks just like the hole you messed around with in the other door before.

You open the regular door and find a tunnel behind it. The tunnel twists and turns north, then reaches a dead end. On the wall is set a statue of the upper body of a snake-headed humanoid, made from dark metal. The statue's arms are outstretched forwards.

I cast detect magic on the statue, then prepare to bolt. Do some examining as it is, ready logan.
