Re: In the Cold North - Forum RPG
Bemused by the paranoia of the rest of the party, Gerald slips the bracelets onto the statue's arms and... nothing happens.
Nisos still doesn't know any Detect Magic spell, but he examines the statue and notices something. Its arms seem to be hinged at the shoulders and elbows, and movable.

Sadly, Gerald removes the bracelets.

I move the arms around and check the armpits, then I see if I can detatch one of them for use in the holes.
The only unflawed system is Lego System.

Gerald takes the bracelets back. Nisos starts moving the statue's arms around. There must be an advanced mechanism hidden inside them; it seems they can be moved into any position real arms could be moved to. There is nothing of note in the armpits. Nisos pulls at an arm, but it doesn't detach.

Yeah kinda. Mostly I was hoping someone else could figure it out.
Maybe position the arms so they match the bracelet?

Any place we haven't explored yet? I'm a bit disoriented. I'll pet Logan while waiting for an epiphany.

Here's what you've explored so far.
You're standing in front of the snakeman statue with moving arms. The two doors you haven't been through both have that hole with metal pins extending and gripping anything that is put into it.

Re: In the Cold North - Forum RPG
Maybe the bracelets are keys to the grippy doors? I'm gonna try shoving em into the closest door-hole one at a time.

Re: In the Cold North - Forum RPG
Gerald puts the goblin bracelet into the door hole. The pins grip it and retract, but nothing happens. He puts the elf bracelet into the hole instead. The pins grip it tightly, fitting into the bracelet's pattern, and then retract. A click is heard, and the door swings open outwards, revealing a small chamber. A stone piedestal stands in the middle of the chamber, and on top of that is a metal scroll case, identical to the one you found before which Saucix now carries. But this one has its lids on at both ends.

So I guess Saucix bags the sealed scroll case?
Gerald hurries off towards the other keyhole.

"Shall my companions follow me as I head to the next chamber? You may stay if you wish, but I cannot guarantee your safety - or mine." Gerald trundles off.
