LDD Modding
Anybody know how to mod LDD? What I mean is, does anyone know how to add custom decorations to the software? I know people that have done it here: http://www.rockraidersunited.org/topic/ ... extractor/
but I don't want to bother them too much about it. Any ideas? I'm not a computer programmer by any stretch of the imagination, so if someone can push me in the right direction it would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you want to add your own decorations to LDD, here's a great tutorial on how to do it.

Re: LDD Modding
If you want more decorations for your LDD minifigs, then download this file:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/4m9xg8ot8qi9lne/Custom.lxf
To implement it into LDD you'll need to create a Custom User Palette. To do this you'll need to(on Windows):
1. Go to Run. You can find this by typing "Run" in your search engine just above the start icon.
2. Type %Appdata% and hit enter.
3. Your .roaming folder should pop up. Find the "LEGOCompany" folder and open it.
4. Open the "LEGO Digital Designer" folder.
5. Create a new folder and name it "UserPalettes". Ignore the "Palattes" folder.
6. Take the .lxf that you downloaded from my dropbox, named "Custom", and place it in the "UserPalettes" folder. Be sure to save "Custom" with the rest of your LDD creations.
7. Open LDD. Make sure you're in LDD mode, not LDD Extended.
8. At the bottom of your palette (the box on the left where you select your bricks) you should see an icon with a box on it next to the zoom function. If you hover your mouse over it you'll see the words "buttplug Bricks by Boxes". Click it. You should see "Custom" on a list. Select custom.
9. Enjoy.
Most of these pieces are from the Collectible Minifig Series by The LEGO Group. The guys over at the Eurobricks forums compiled those decorations, so a big thanks to them. The rest were created by individuals who's names I can't remember or find. Many of the other decorations were created by Anthony Sava at Classic-Castle.com. Some of the custom pieces are his creations too. I do not own any of the decorations and I refuse to make any money off this compilation (not that I'm going to anyway, but for legal purposes I need to state that.) All I did was compile the decorations not already included in the Collectible Minifig Series file made by the Eurobricks users.
If you find any errors with the decorations, then you'll need to figure out how to change them on your own. I've done way too much tedious work already to do any repairs.

I should also mention that with the decorations I added, I changed the skin from yellow to peach. This may change in the future, but as for now I have zero desire to switch out the colors.

It means I'm lazy, not racist. If you want to see racism though...Silverdream wrote:I had no idea you were such a racist.Semaj Nagirrac wrote:I should also mention that with the decorations I added, I changed the skin from yellow to peach. Re: LDD Modding
I went through the steps myself just now to double check that I didn't miss anything. Is the issue with the button next to the zoom slider not appearing or with "Custom" not appearing?
Did you make a copy of "Custom" and save it with your regular models? If not, try that and see if it helps.

First make sure it's the right placeSemaj Nagirrac wrote:Excellent! Can you tell me what you did differently so I can add it to the steps?
when i first got Ldd I had everything on the desktop
I now know there is another set of the data just sitting on the hard drive
the difference between them is that one has data in the
Lego Company > Lego Digital Designer > LibraryGroups > LDD spot
this is the right set to add UserPalettes to
