At the momeny you guys seem to be in a draw with the cult of poon.

With over 13 hours to go, I am intrigued to see how this turns out.

I think you may have missed a meaning here...

Unless of course, you wanted to repeatedly yell "vaginas" at the entire forum. :troll:

I have actually voted for the harpoon, even though I'm not sure how we'll use it, I don't see it having spectacular range, enough for it to make a difference to pull it into the guaranteed dual-mini-gun murder-arc. If we're smart, we could use it to drag down heavily armoured air units, pull down tall buildings, or set a wire trap even if that's allowed. If the buildings are really tall, we could possibly use that, along with the whole 6 legs of traction to scale them.

In a surprising turn of events, I also flip flopped. Having gotten my grenade wish already, and having been convinced by the arguments presented here, I went for the poon.

MECH-QUEST

LEFT SHOULDER WEAPON SELECTION

SHOULDER HARPOON CANNON LAUNCHER SELECTED

Well it would seem that the Cult of Poon won out on the last option with the Harpoon Cannon. With a Long-Medium Range, 2-20 Damage (2d10) and the special ability to impale and drag stuff towards it, the Harpoon cannon is a choice normally reserved for close combat mecha. In this case, the Cult of Poon has made a utility choice that may or may not play out to their advantage.

The total stat line for this beast is thus -

HEAVY - ASSAULT

Code: Select all
Step down 1 die on speed.
25% bonus to Armour.
Step up 1 die on all defence based rolls.
Allows 1 Extra Heavy Weapon (from standard of two on a Medium, and only one for a Light).

Automatically equipped with two small machine guns (In the chest, treated as 2x pistols for the sake of combat).
25% bonus to range
Step up 1 die on all attack based rolls.
Allows 1 Extra Heavy Weapon (regardless of other class choices)

Chest Machine Guns (x2) -
Code: Select all
Medium-Short Range
3-30 Damage
No Ammunition penalty (does not need to reload)

Right Arm Minigun -
Code: Select all
Medium-Short Range
11-60 Damage
Can split damage between 1 to 5 targets per attack

Left Arm Minigun -
Code: Select all
Medium-Short Range
11-60 Damage
Can split damage between 1 to 5 targets per attack

Right Shoulder Grenade Launcher
Code: Select all
Medium Range
21-40 Damage
Can arc shots over cover.
Explosive Radius (3 units)

Left Shoulder Harpoon Cannon
Code: Select all
Long-Medium Range
2-20 Damage
Can Impale targets
Can Drag targets towards itself

The next vote of choice is the last vote before we pick colours and then - a name, but I am getting ahead of myself here as we have to make the last choice of Aftermarket Upgrades.
