Tbh it's quite fitting, gives you some character definition.

Re: We Sailor Moon now
Well this weeks' episode was janky still drawing/animation-wise, but I did enjoy it overall. One could say I'm warming up to it.
Re: Weaboo thread
I finished watching Madoka rebellion. It was really good, but the ending let it down.
Also, does Studio Ghilbi count as anime? Ponyo is pretty good.

Re: Weaboo thread
I would highly suggest Zahrus recommendation. It is a decently made anime film for those of sane and level mind.Zahru II wrote:Man Colette, why not start with Legend of the Overfiend then?

Re: Weaboo thread
Yeah, while Rebellion was pretty it really shits over everything established by the series for future story hooks (and merch; I mean there's a ton of devil homura figures and statues and soulgem replicas to milk those weebs before the show stops being relevant/they can get a contract for a followup of some kind). I would say it's a standard fare Urobochi thing that "you can't have nice things", but AFAIK the ending wasn't his idea but he liked it enough to roll with it.Nimja wrote:I finished watching Madoka rebellion. @Scythe - Apocalypse Zero is pretty alright as well for newbies.

I think I've posted this before, but Rebellion in a Nutshell:
Also, remember to hide spoilers for Scratch, Colette and others who haven't seen Rebellion yet.

Re: Weaboo thread
Mahou Shoujo Ore looks hilarious.
>15 year old girl is a newbie idol in love with her best friend’s brother who is also a popular idol.
>She runs into a scary yakuza guy and finds out her mother was an ex-magical girl, the yakuza was her mascot.
>Her love interest gets kidnapped by demons that look like burly men with cute squirrel heads.
>She contracts the yakuza to become a magical girl, which in this story means she turns into a handsome guy in a magical girl outfit.
>Her magical staff does jack shit and she literally beats the enemies to death with it.
>Her love interest shows an attraction towards her magical guy form.
>Her best friend (her love interest’s sister) turns out to be in love with her and later also becomes a magical crossdressing guy to save her life.
>Their manager is a magical girl geek and decides to make them into an idol unit.
I'm hoping the adaptation gets made.

Questionably legal link to the Kill la Kill dub. I haven't had a chance to view too much of it, but I'm not overly impressed.
