Claymores

Post by Strider » Mon Jan 14, 2008 6:45 pm

Anyone ever think about using them in a brikwar game?
I have done so numerous times. They are quite(sp?) fun to use. I represent them with a 1x1 round brick w/one of the 1x1 plates with clip on top and a lightsaber piece is put into the clip. Perfect for guarding doorways :D The only unit that may position them is a demolition expert. When someone walks into them the claymore explodes spraying the poor chap with hunks of metal. It may hit up to 2 people within 1" of each other. The claymore does 3d6 of damage.

Genius!
Whats the blast range?
The 3d6 might be a bit much. A regular 1d10 maybe? It'll cut down the cost.
Plantable by demoman, I like it. Them, and snipers? Other devious types?

I would just have it a normal explosive and any thing that walk 1" in front of it sets it off.

I thought you meant the sword! But yes, if I ever do a modern battle, they would add to the destruction quite a bit!

True that.

When in doubt, the claymore is facing toward you.

This is a very good stats because claymores don't have that big of a explosion but dose a lot of damage and I use a 1x2 tile with two 1x1 tiles with clips on the 1x2 tile for my claymore, that way you don't got the cool lasers but it looks more like the claymore IMO.
