Channeling okkult energies from the Large Magikellenic Cloud, the Order of the Edge Lords is a force for all things edgy in the Brikverse. The small, previously nomadic organization was quietly folded into the government and military of the Trion Empire following the ascension to the throne of Alec II. While his motives for this are unknown, what is known is that these Edge-Siders have found their way into almost all aspects of Trionian society, forcing the Trion Empire ever closer to "The Edge", as the Order puts it.
The Edge-Siders are divided into three main classes: Edge Acolyte, Edge Knight, and Edge Lord. Individualism is a big part of the Edge, and as such, it is rare that two Edge-Siders look alike.
In order for an Acolyte to become a Knight, and a Knight a Lord, bloodshed is almost always involved. Promotions from Acolyte to Knight can be awarded by an Edge Lord, or an Acolyte can simply kill a Knight and take his place. A council of Edge Lords will meet to promote an Edge Knight to Lord, or a Knight can kill a Lord and assume his office.
Edge Acolytes are the least powerful Edge-Siders, and usually draw themselves from the ranks of Trion's Edgentruppen, Trionian society, and even (yellow) defectors from other star nations.
Edge Acolytes are usually under the tutelage of an Edge Knight, an Edge-Sider who usually will carry upgraded equipment, and will have deeper knowledge of the Edge.
Edge Lords are the most powerful of the Edge-Siders, and often wield RT Nova Swords as badges of office. They will sometimes have Edge Knights or Acolytes accompanying them as apprentices, despite the threat of betrayal. Those who are close to the Edge accept that only the strongest survive, and with each betrayal, their order grows stronger.
There are groups of Edge-Siders that will detach themselves from formal Trionian military structure and go on their own missions. Pictured here is a skirmish between an Imperial Magikstrate mage and his guards, and some Edge-Siders.
