The crocs like heat, and have resistance to fire and a vulnerability to cold. Tough but rather slow, they have limited regenerative capabilities, and favor melee where their bite can give them an extra edge, and lunch!
The sole reason for this army (it started out very small) is Old King Kroc's own dino ride. He raised it from an egg himself. As I started building it I got rather fond of it, and thus collected some more crocs for the warband. It has gone through several iterations, in the beginning it was more of a platform for warriors, but gradly transitioned into King Kroc's mobile throne and death-dispenser. Also, it has three huge flags, so everyone can see them from afar and tremble in fear.
In the center is Kroc's throne in gory red and gold. Within comfortable reach from this couchy seat is a dual automated boltcaster with enhanced sights and range, and also a flamethrower if the barbacue is getting close. The sides are bristling with spikes, severely hindering any minifigs trying to get into melee range with the Old King.
Kroc's sons accompany hin on the dino, providing a little extra ranged firepower.
There has to be some infantry too, right? Cannonfodder.
I'm sure they have some flavour and character too, but mostly they are there to fill out the ranks, redshirt for King Kroc and his henchmen and hope that one day be noticed for some valorous deed. Right now I can't be bothered with fluff, because I want to get to the more fun parts of the army.
The raptor-riding croc hero is speed personified according to the crocs. First on the field, first to feed. And the raptor is hungry! Leaping forward, slashing enemies, croc-hero skewering and slashing right and left, they're a sight to behold. What I wouldn't give for another raptor or two...
A real eyecatcher! Ofcourse, it's the dinosaurs. Everybody likes dinosaurs.
(This was inevitable)
Rounding out Krocs army is some firebased artillery and a medicine
Also a medik (or possibly scout), I had a single croc left.
Here's a look at the entire army again.
...and here's the lego part of the backdrop, in case you're interested. It's hard building a swampy-looking tree, but I'm trying different designs...
