Sometimes, an unknown source of power comes to their attention in the distant, unexplored reaches of the cosmos. This is where the C.O.O.K.s come in.

Using tech both bought from the factions they supply, alongside ones proprietary to themselves, the Expeditionary Forces have the strength to take and hold whatever power that might come their way.
This is the 2nd Unit, a group made up of both remnants of the 1st, alongside their best recruits.

On the front lines are the Melee Forces: The OctaKnights (Phalanx), Pit Crew (Skirmishers), and their Crew Chief (Size 2 Phalanx)

Supporting from afar are the OctRangers of Green and Red Squads. Green Squad arms themselves against Heavily Armored targets(2x AP Pistols), while Red Squad focuses on long range support (Marksmen). Their Squad Leaders are armed with miniaturized heavy weapon and grenade launching tech (1d6 & 1d10 SN dice). The lead Ranger, Octavian Fett, is a deadly generalist, able to fit in with either squad flawlessly (2d6 & 1d10 SN Dice)

The OctaMech provides medium-weight support and intimidation. Its large stature belies its true Size 3 nature, but its true purpose is to use its Size 2 Gun and Size 3 Melee weapons make mulch of enemy infantry.

Development on this class of Mech are ongoing. It's rumored that Mechanix are working to give it Flight capabilities, but have yet to integrate the system fully.

Octan-1, the pride of the former 1st Unit, and currently the heavy of the 2nd. It acts as a carrier and resupply for a single Octan Starfighter, but it's truly a weapon in it's own right.

The massive cargo doors serve as Size 5 Melee Weapons that only the Hero of the 2nd Unit can properly use.

Vason, former Commander of the 1st Unit, now serves as Hero for the 2nd.

During his time with the 1st Unit, Vason suffered a string of losses. Time and again, even though his armies would win more often than not, he personally would fall. He constantly upgraded his arms and armor, using everything from teleportation caps, to Supernatural Dice, to an ORANGE TRANSPARENT NOVA SWORD AND HELMET. After his last failure in battle, however, he was stripped of the honor of OT, and went back to his original helmet; truly, if even the might of OT tech couldn't save him, perhaps nothing could.
Now, he eschews even the helmet. Going back to the roots of what it means to be a Hero, he has let his hair grow long and his beard go grizzled, and picked up a simple set of beam sabers in his company's colors. As a reminder of his failures, he carries his old Nova Sword's OT CRYSTAL, hoping that perhaps this time, things will be different.
