The class was designed with long range independant missions in mind. Although it is customizable, even during the design process the engineers prepared dedicated interior for a cloning chamber, allowing planetary assaults and occupation, and extensive repair- and medikal kapabilities. They were so focused, other areas of design were neglected.

Defensivly the Halcyon Empire has utilized it's extensive knowledge of shield teknology, and as can be seen there are dedicated shield-projectors both at the fore and midships around the bridge. The shields extends outwards, but the aft is (as is customary) poorly shielded.
The pictures are from the ships trials, and the armament is very basic. In front of the bridge are two dual 4" turrets (their range extends just slightly beyond the prow) and behind it a 4" turret. Main forward armament consists of six (three per side) 7" energylances. There are currently no rockets, missiles or torpedoes. The prow is hardened though, and acts like a large ram/cc weapon. Ramming speed!

There is also a harpoon located at the prow. It's not standard issue, but the current captain enjoys hunting space whales.

Customary view of engine section.

A fortunate disformed sluban has been chained to the prow.

Here you can make out the bridge interior, and there is actually a captains chair there too that is hidden from view. Aport from the bridge, the ship is horridly empty during the trials, but afterwards it will be fitted with a nice interior. Maybe.

Here we can see the ship leaving spacedock, escorted by two generic fighters.

It's a fantastic feeling getting this far with a build. The ship is somewhat sturdy and definitely swooshabel, but the side plating is sometimes a bit flimsy and after seeing some recent great ships by ninja_bait I would really like to have a docking bay etc. The ship is basically a long box, with a technic beam for support, and then angled plates on the sides. The sides can be flipped up for acess to the interior, and the roofing is removable, as is both the bridge and the deck below the bridge. I could see myself doing more with regular bricks in the center. However, I've come a long way since my first ship-attempts. Thanks for reading.
