The fire spreads and the barricade begins to fall apart in the flames.

With a sprint and a mighty heave they throw it into the burning barricade.
The makeshift fortification starts to fall apart, sparks and flames exploding inwards and covering Ancelot as he falls to the ground.
The ram's crew tries to run back to safety, covered by advancing crossbowman.

Ancelot is unharmed and a breach opens in the wall.

They each skewer a fleeing foe in the back.
However, response fire takes down one of the horses. The rider is unharmed but disrupted.
The engineers light their bolt on fire.
The shot isn't as accurate as they hoped, but it smashes into the wooden building with fiery fury.
The crossbowman bails successfully and lands nearby.
The citizens, quite far away from the barricade, start creating their own makeshift defense.
