Laris doesn't survive this backstab.



The Commander challenges Haircules to a duel. Success! Haircules has to fight the Commander and none of his troops can interfere. The battle jester tries to smash him as he's leaving combat but rolls two '1's.



The Commander strikes Haircules, but he withstands the blow.

DRAKLON RAIDERS



Two Reavers hit the tree, dealing another SP of damage to it.



The Matriarch mounts the Warg and makes it growl at the Bulls menacingly, trying to scare them into not moving closer. The Bulls are however not easily intimidated and it has the opposite effect, giving them double movement because they are eager to slay this mighty beast.



The mariners decide to stay put and raise their crossbows, daring anyone to come closer.

This tree is truly a worthy opponent.

THE WOLFPACK



Looks like the transformation hadn't finished yet! The leader of the Wolfpack turns out to be The Black Wolf, increasing the likelihood he has some connection to Admiral Black Dog. (Ok, I wasn't happy with how the fig looked so I kept changing it, you got me).



And he rolls for a feat... c'mon man, really?



The Black Wolf hits his discarded helmet like a golf ball.



It decapitates two Spear-Demons.



His men then move up. Those in range (4) open fire. Some shots miss, others are deflected, but two get through. Fisstache takes 6 damage and survives.

CULT OF THE HOLY FLAME



The Priestress successfully withdraws from combat, the Counterstrike against her missing.



She sprints towards the Arktifakt... careful, those guys still have their actions!



She critically fails her parry and a big two-handed strike and stab take her down.



This prompts response fire from the Ambushers, but they fail to accomplish anything.



Slimy Pete and his fiance start sprinting.



The Geisha is cut down trying to leave combat.



The remaining fanatics try to get towards the Arktifakt, those who could move in a straight line sprinting.

Water Demons



Fishstache creates a water shield that will dampen incoming ranged fire.



The Water Demons then march forward in a closed formation and prepare response actions. Their proximity to the Wolfpack Rangers means that they are able to respond with attacks against the rangers' movement. The Black Wolf seizes the initiative and strikes at one of the Heavy Swords but misses completely.

THE PEASANT REBELLION



The remaining fanatics are massacred, the Battle Jester falling to crossbow bolts, the adventurer falling to a charge and the scallywag to the whip.



With surprising tact, Haircules manages to persuade the Commander to make a temporary truce, until all the Holy Flame troops have been snuffed out. Possibly not finding much honour in killing peasants, or perhaps wary of the large mass of peasants he has only a handful of men left to face, the Commander agrees. I'm not sure how this is heroic or fits his cliche, but you can't argue with a critical success. The Water Demons, however, don't need to honour this truce.
